Abstract

The Appreciative Inquiry (AI) approach is a professional development strategy rooted in positive psychology that emphasizes the strengthening of educators’ potential and best practices. This study aims to analyze the role of Appreciative Inquiry in supporting the development of innovative teaching methods among Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers from a positive psychology perspective. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review of relevant scientific sources. The findings indicate that Appreciative Inquiry contributes to fostering innovation in IRE teaching methods by strengthening positive experiences, professional reflection, and an orientation toward continuous change, thereby creating a constructive and effective learning climate.
