Abstract

This study examines the roles of leadership style and work motivation in supporting employee performance at PT Kanaka Phinastika Sentosa, an engineering and construction company in Indonesia. Employee performance is a strategic aspect of organizational goal achievement, particularly in a work environment that requires coordination, discipline, and professionalism. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to company employees. The data are analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the relationships between leadership style, work motivation, and employee performance. The findings indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, whereas leadership style does not demonstrate a statistically significant partial effect. However, leadership style and work motivation jointly contribute significantly to explaining variations in employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening work motivation and implementing leadership practices that align with organizational needs. This study offers practical implications for human resource management, particularly in developing integrated strategies to improve employee performance by considering both leadership and motivational factors.
