Abstract

Children's creativity needs to be improved, therefore learning must be interesting and enjoyable. One way to improve creativity is through picture stories. This study aims to determine the increase in children's creativity through picture stories. This study is a classroom action research. The subjects in this study were students in group B of AMANAH BANGSA Kindergarten, semester II of the 2025/2026 academic year. There are 30 students in Group B of AMANAH BANGSA Kindergarten. This research is a collaborative effort between the researcher, the principal, and the accompanying classroom teacher. Data were collected through observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was checked using triangulation. Data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative flow model. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in children's creativity through picture stories, namely pre-cycle creativity of 13.33%, an increase in cycle I creativity of 46.67%, and an increase in cycle II creativity of 80.00%. Several indicators support the improvement of children's creativity through picture stories, namely creative reactions, long attention span, self-organization/self-confidence, connecting ideas or concepts/storytelling, imagination development, and new vocabulary acquisition. In addition, the success in improving creativity is also supported by supporting methods, including providing time for exploration and motivation in the form of praise. The conclusion of this study is that picture stories can enhance children's creativity.
