Abstract

This study aims to analyze the abundance of bivalves, analyze the relationship between mangrove density and bivalves and analyze the relationship of bivalve abundance with environmental parameters as the basis for sustainable management in Tuing Beach. This research was carried out in February 2024. The method used to determine the station point was purposive sampling at three research stations, mangrove density data was collected by the 10×10 m square transect method while bivalve data was collected by the quadratic transect method using a plot of 1×1 m. Based on the results of the study, as many as 3 species from 2 families, in the Veneridae Family, Gafrarium pectinatum and Meretrix retrix species were found, in the family cyrenoididae the species Polymesoda erosa was found. The highest abundance of bivalves was found at station 2 with the dominance of Gafrarium pectinatum at 3.00 ind/m², at station 2 for Gafrarium pectinatum, while the lowest was at 0.00 ind/m2 at 3 stations (at station 1 for Meretrix retrix and Gafrarium pectinatum species), (station 2 Polymesoda erosa), (station 3 Retrix retrix, Gafrarium pectinatum and Polymesoda erosion). Analysis using the PCA (Main Component Analysis) method showed that the density of mangroves with bivalve abundance in mangrove ecosystems was weakly related due to the small value of bivalve abundance. The relationship between bivalve abundance and environmental parameters obtained the result of abundance correlated with temperature as the parameter that most affects the existence of bivalves.

Abstract

Riding Panjang Village, Bangka Regency, which is famous for its important mangrove ecosystem as a habitat for variousmarine life, including mangrove crabs (Scylla sp.). Mangrove crabs have high economic value and are highly dependenton mangrove ecosystems whose conditions are very dynamic. In 2020, the mangrove area in the village was rehabilitateddue to damage from uncontrolled mining activities. This study aims to examine the abundance of mangrove crabs inmangrove rehabilitation areas and the relationship between the abundance of mangrove crabs and environmentalparameters. The method used in this study uses the purposive sampling method. The results of the study found two speciesof mangrove crabs found, namely Scylla serrata and Scylla paramamosain The highest abundance of mangrove crabswas found at Station 2 of 300 ind/ha and the highest relative abundance value was in the Scylla serrata species of88.9%. The growth pattern of mangrove crabs at the three stations was negative allometric with a value of b < 3. Theanalysis of the main components (PCA) showed that there were environmental factors that affected the abundance ofmangrove crabs, namely mangrove density, salinity, pH, DO, temperature, and substrate.

Abstract

Cemara Beach is an example of the use of protected forest land from a former mining area that is managed as a naturaltourist attraction. This beach has an attraction as a new tourist destination because it is known for its neatly arranged andshady pine trees and provides a cool atmosphere with a beautiful sea panorama. This study aims to analyze the rightstrategy in developing tourism at Cemara Beach. This study was conducted in April 2025 at Cemara Beach, Rebo VillageSungailiat District Bangka Regency. The research method used was direct interviews with visitors an interview guideline. The results of the study indicate that the priority strategies that can be carried out are in the self-improvement strategy, including 1) Cooperating between managers and stakeholders (government, community and investors) in the form ofpromotion, training, socialization to develop Cemara Beach tourism so that it can increase the number of visitors andprovide a satisfying experience in traveling. 2) Maximizing collaboration with business actors (UMKM, entrepreneursand investors) so that business opportunities are opened so that they can meet visitor demand and also increase the incomeof Cemara Beach managers. 3) Carrying out promotional strategies by increasing tourism events, actively loadingadvertisements, interesting content on social media and print media.
