Transformational leadership of school principals emphasizes exemplary leadership, shared vision, empowerment, innovation, and attention to individual teacher needs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership among elementary school principals by synthesizing previous studies, focusing on four dimensions of transformational leadership—idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration—and the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative descriptive approach and PRISMA reporting principles. The reviewed literature consisted of publications from 2020–2026 concerning transformational leadership among elementary or primary school principals. Nineteen selected articles were synthesized based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that transformational leadership is implemented through principal role modeling and integrity, vision communication and motivation, opportunities for teacher creativity and innovation, and individualized mentoring. The synthesis also indicates associations between transformational leadership and teacher motivation, commitment, professionalism, performance, and collaborative school culture. Supporting factors include leadership competence, open communication, clear vision, collaboration, and a positive school culture, while inhibiting factors include limited resources, administrative workload, competency gaps, and resistance to change. This review extends previous studies by focusing the synthesis on the practical implementation of the four transformational leadership dimensions and the contextual conditions affecting their application in elementary schools.
