Abstract

This research starts from the observation that researcher did in theKawasan Saribu Rumah Gadang that the area is a center of culture that exists inSouth Solok Regency. But the researchers found a lack of awareness of preservingthe culture indicated by the surrounding communities. Problems that researchersfound is tourists do not recognize about the existence of tourist attractions in thearea, tourists visiting only for Selfie and a lot of the attitude shown by thecommunity as indifferent existence. The purpose of this study is to describe howthe development strategy of cultural tourism attractions in the Kawasan SaribuRumah Gadang Kanagarian Koto Baru South Solok Regency.Type of this research is a descriptive qualitative research. The populationin this research is a community was lived in the area either custom or communityleaders who have no status in the community. Sampling technique was PurposiveSampling by viewing of Something to See, Something to Buy, Something to Do.The number of samples in this study was 7 people. The technique of datacollection is done by direct communication through interviews, observation anddocumentation. Furthermore the data analyzed, reduced and drawn conclusions.The results of this research can be concluded among others: Internalfactors being the weakness of the Cultural Attractions in the Kawasan SaribuRumah Gadang: a)Lack of organized cultural event, such as the creation of the oldcustoms of the food to be a huge cost disadvantage at every event, b) lack ofregeneration of connector/successor customs evolved into one of the factors whichweaken us in expanding it. External factors that become a cultural touristattraction Opportunities in the Kawasan Saribu Rumah Gadang is: a) the existingart workshops in the area of Koto Baru can be one opportunity to enliven anypickles that are in the area, b) Roles and the Government can help in this customevent in funding. External factors become a threat in the area's CulturalAttractions Saribu Rumah Gadang is: a) not many adolescents who want to carryon and preserve the custom events that are in the Kawasan Saribu Rumah Gadang,b) generation special food maker also belongs a little in the Kawasan SaribuRumah Gadang.Keywords: Strategy, Tourist Attractions, Culture, Kawasan Saribu RumahGadang, Kanagarian Koto Baru, South Solok Regency

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of the service quality to the visitor’s satisfaction in the sights of Carocok Painan Pesisir Selatan. Type of this research is quantitative research (assosiatif) with the causal approach. The population in this study amounted to 66,547 people. The number of samples in the study amounted to 100 people. Using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using likert scale which have tested the validity and realiability. Technique of data analysis SPSS computer program using 16.00 version. Based on the results of the research that has been done is obtained the following results: (1) The service quality placed very good category (46%). (2) The visitor’s satisfaction are in the very good category (71%). Test results of simple linear regression hypothesis acquired Fcount 135.526. Sig value 0.000 < 0.005, then it can be concluded there was significant influence between the variable X against Y with R square 0.580.Keywords: Quality, Service and Visitor’s Satisfaction

Abstract

This research to describe about tourism potential at Tarusan Kamang Kecamatan Kamang Magek consist of what to see, (b) what to do, (c) what to buy, (d) what to arrived, (e) what to stay.The kind of research is descriptive qualitative. Technique data collection was carried out by using the method interview, observation and documentation. In this research using purposive sampling with 6 informants snowball sampling with 5 informants. Technique analysis data used in this research was reduction data, presentation of data, and conclusion.The research found that Tarusan Kamang object seen from the aspect: (a) what to see, Tarusan Kamang has a beautiful scenery. (b) what to do, tourist can take Rakit and boat around Tarusan Kamang. (c) what to buy, there is no souvenir shop, but tourist can only find the tradisional food. (d) what to arrived, the transportation which available is land transportation mode. (e) what to stay, there is nor accomodation available at Tarusan Kamang .Keywords: Tourism Potential, Tourism Object

Abstract

This research arouse from the observations of researcher towardsBayang Sani waterfall tourist attraction manage by the local people. Thisresearch aims to know the Bayang Sani waterfall tourist attraction in thevillage of Koto Baru Bayang Pesisir Selatan Regency which includes threeterms of attractions: Something to see, Something to do and Something tobuy. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative data. Thetechnique of data collection is done using the method of interview,observation and documentation. Based on the research found a few thingsrelated to Bayang Sani waterfall tourist attractions namely: (a) Somethingto see, views of Bayang Sani waterfall beautiful and cool, there are floraand fauna. (b) Something to do, which can be done in a tourist attractionare bathing, swimming, taking pictures and played Benen attraction whileswimming. Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the development strategy (strength, weaknesses, opportunities, treats) in Madobag Village as a Cultural Tourism Village in Mentawai Island Regency. The type of this research was descriptive with qualitative data. Technique of data collection was done by using interviews, observations, and documentation methods. This research used a Snowball Sampling technique involving informants in it, they were: two people of cultural field (Tourism Government Service), and five local people of Madobag Village. Results of research can be done for developing a Madobag village as a Cultural Tourism Village in the Mentawai Islands are as follows: 1). Provide attractions like social gatherings or society together indigenous Mentawai. 2). Collaborates with a travel agent to make a cultural tour packages as a destination for these excursions. 3). Boost cooperation between village officials, local authorities and attract investors to develop the village Madobag as Cultural Tourism Village. 4). Highlighting the potential of cultural tourism village owned Madobag village by organizing cultural events.Keywords: Strategy, Development, Tourism Village.

Abstract

This research is a made to describe of atrraction making rendang at Kampung Rendang Kota Payakumbuh reviewed from ingredients, equipments, processing techniques and packaging.This research was descriptive research with qualitative data. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling, data were collected by observation, interview and documentation involving informans and respondents. According to the research, the authors found that (1) Ingredients use to made rendang and derived from Kampung Rendang are coconuts, coconut pulps, coconut shells, (2) Equipments use to production process are coconut grated machine, coconutmilk squeezer machine, egg beater machine, furnace,crock, spoon stirrer, gas stove, kacik (traditional coconutmilk squeezer), steamer box, vacuum sealer machine, manual packaging machine,(3) Processing techniques rendang are grated coconuts, squeezee coconutmilk, mix an eggs, fire furnace, made rendang, squeeze of rendang`s oil (4) Packaging for rendang using bottle, using plastic with vacuum sealer machine, and also using plastic with manual packaging machine.Keywords: Potention, Tourist Attraction, Kampung Rendang

Abstract

This research arouse from the observation of the researcher when visiting the Object of the Pilgrimage tourist object of the Tomb of Syech Burhanuddin in Padang Pariaman District, that the unknown attraction, narrow accessibility, inadequate existing facilities of tourism and tourism activities contained in the tourist attraction of the Tomb of Syech Burhanuddin. This research is purposedto analyze how the potential of the grave of Syech Burhanuddin as a pilgrimage tourism object in Padang Pariaman Regency which seen from four potential indicators, namely attraction, accessibility, amenities, and activity. This research type is descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative method (mix metdhod). Data collection technique is done by using interview method, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. In this research using Purposive Sampling. Data collection techniques were conducted by interviewing the managers and distributing questionnaires using Guttman scale that has been tested for its validity and reliability.The results of this study found that the overall potential of the Tomb of Syech Burhanuddin as a Pilgrimage Tourism Object In Padang Pariaman District seen from four potential indicators of attraction, accessibility, amenitas, and activity. According to tourists 65.75% are tourist attractions are quite good, 68.75% accessibility is good enough, 44% amenitas not good, and 77% good enough activity.Keywords: Potential, Tourist Attraction
