Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine and described the effect of using internet media on students learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 20 Padang.The type of this research was quantitative research using experimental method. The samples in this study consisted of two study groups taken by purposive sampling. The research instrument used was in the form of practice. Data collection techniques were conducted by means of literature study, tests and documentation. The steps for analyzing data were normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis test.The results confirmed that the significant differences between class VIII6 (experimental class) and class VIII4 (control class) in students learning outcomes of dance moves at SMP N 20 Padang were. This proved that using internet media could influence students learning outcomes. Then, the average value obtained from the experimental class was 81.5 higher than the control class which is 78.2. According to the results of the hypothesis test, It was tcount> ttable where 3.38> 2.0049 as evidenced by the significant level α 0.05. It meant that there were significant differences between the results of the development of dance movements of students who used internet media with the control class using conventional media (material in school). By using internet media, it was proven that the dance movements for students at SMP N 20 Padang were significantly developed.  Keywords: the effect,  internet media, students learning outcomes, dance art

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of members of the Indonesian National Martial Arts Academy Perisai Diri unit SMP X Sidoarjo who experience problems with their emotional regulation abilities. One way that can be used to improve the ability to regulate emotions is to practice meditation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of meditation in increasing the ability to regulate emotions in members of the Indonesian National Martial Arts Academy Perisai Diri unit at SMP X Sidoarjo. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The meditation used is meditation from the Perisai Diri martial arts school, consisting of mindfulness and loving kindness techniques. The subjects in this study consisted of 13 pencak silat members who were given a pretest to measure their initial emotional regulation ability, then meditation treatment was given to the subject, after that a posttest was given after meditation treatment was given to the subject to measure emotion regulation ability. The results of hypothesis testing using the calculation of the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.00 (p <0.05), which means that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that meditation has an effect on increasing emotional regulation in members of the Indonesian National Martial Arts Academy, the Perisai Diri unit, SMP X Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi hubungan antara burnout dan kepuasan kerja di kalangan guru TK dan PAUD di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Melalui pengambilan sampel acak sederhana, data dikumpulkan dari 167 guru dari 322 guru yang ada, dengan menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan informasi. Skala burnout dan kepuasan kerja yang digunakan menunjukkan reliabilitas yang tinggi. Analisis korelasi Spearman's Rho menunjukkan adanya hubungan terbalik yang signifikan (p = 0,000) antara burnout dan kepuasan kerja (koefisien korelasi: -0,690), yang mengindikasikan bahwa ketika burnout meningkat, kepuasan kerja menurun, dan sebaliknya. Baik burnout maupun kepuasan kerja ditemukan pada tingkat sedang di antara para guru yang diteliti. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya mengatasi burnout di kalangan guru TK dan PAUD untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja mereka, dan pada akhirnya, meningkatkan hasil pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

General Background: Academic procrastination is a common problem faced by university students and often leads to decreased academic performance. Specific Background: One psychological factor associated with procrastination is self-efficacy, which reflects an individual’s belief in their ability to complete academic tasks. Knowledge Gap: Although previous studies have examined this relationship, limited research has focused on advanced-level students in Indonesian higher education. Aims: This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination among students in semesters 10, 12, and 14 at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Results: Using a correlational quantitative approach with 292 participants selected through non-probability sampling, data were collected using validated scales of self-efficacy and academic procrastination (reliability 0.825 and 0.902). Spearman’s rho analysis revealed a significant negative correlation, indicating that higher self-efficacy was associated with lower academic procrastination. Self-efficacy contributed 17.6% to the variance in academic procrastination. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence of the psychological dynamics influencing procrastination in late-semester students, a population often overlooked in similar research. Implications: Findings highlight the need for interventions that strengthen students’ self-efficacy to reduce procrastination and improve academic performance. Highlights: Self-efficacy shows a negative correlation with academic procrastination. Self-efficacy explains 17.6% of procrastination variance. Abstract

Recently, cases of aggressiveness have been increasingly found in the mass media. This is very concerning. Family harmony is thought to be a factor triggering the criteria for aggressiveness in adolescents. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between family harmony and aggressiveness in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukodono. The research will be conducted using a correlational quantitative approach. This study used sample 177 students who were obtained from random sampling techniques. The data collection technique was done using a psychological scale. Measurement using the Likert scale variable. Data were analyzed by conducting hypothesis testing using Pearson Correlaton Product Moment. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between family harmony and aggressiveness among students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukodono. High student family harmony will have an impact on aggressiveness, as well as a decrease in student family harmony with aggressiveness. The family harmony of SMP Negeri 1 Sukodono students is high, and the aggressiveness at SMP Negeri 1 Sukodono is low.

Abstract

Productivity in a company is determined by employee performance. Employee performance can be affected because there is conflict in the workplace. Conflict is a process when one person or group feels that their goals are being opposed or disagree with the other. It is known that after observing the performance of PT. X employees in Mojokerto, the results obtained in the form of problems of decreased performance which were indicated to be caused by work conflicts so that from the problems that arise the researchers intended to conduct research with the aim of knowing the relationship between work conflict and employee performance at PT. X in Mojokerto. With the number of respondents as many as 167 employees, the data analysis method used in this paper is parametric statistical analysis using Pearson product moment correlation analysis with the results of the work conflict scale reliability test which obtained Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.945 and 0.913 results of the performance scale reliability. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the correlation coefficient is -0.407 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 which means the hypothesis is accepted, where there is a relationship between work conflict and employee performance which describes the more work conflicts, the worse employee’s performance of PT. X in Mojokerto.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the 2018 Final Year Students who Compose Thesis at the Psychology Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. This research is a type of quantitative research with a correlational approach. The variables in this study are hardiness as the independent variable and academic procrastination as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo with a population of 154 students. The sample in this study were 113 students who were taken using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique with the help of the JASP 0.16 program. The results of data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient was -0.698 with a significance of <0.001, meaning that there was a negative relationship between hardiness and academic procrastination. This means that the higher the hardiness, the lower the academic procrastination, and vice versa, the lower the hardiness, the higher the academic procrastination.
