Abstract

The school’s physical environment plays an important role in creating a comfortable learning environment that supports the learning process. This study aims to evaluate the physical environment of SDN 01 Kademangan including classrooms, learning resources, the library, the School Health Unit (UKS), technology facilities, sanitation, cleanliness, and accessibility and identify priority needs for facility development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with an evaluative design, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing with triangulation to ensure validity. The findings show that classrooms generally have adequate lighting and ventilation, although some require improvement. Learning resources are available, but technology use remains uneven. The library, UKS, and disability-friendly facilities need further optimization, while student discipline in maintaining cleanliness should be strengthened. Priority needs include improving restrooms and classroom ventilation, optimizing the library and technology facilities, providing accessible facilities, and developing the auditorium, storage areas, and places of worship. Overall, the physical environment at SDN 01 Kademangan supports learning but requires continuous improvement to create a more comfortable, healthy, safe, and inclusive environment.
