Abstract

This community service activity aimed to foster environmental awareness among students at SDN 2 Bendogerit by providing guidance to teachers on how to utilize a digital science magazine based on Blitar’s local wisdom. The method used was a quantitative descriptive approach with a pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of the activity consisted of teachers involved in guiding the use of digital learning media. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed descriptively in the form of percentages. The results of the activity showed an improvement across all measured indicators. Students’ environmental awareness increased from 90% to 95%, the quality of teacher guidance improved from 82% to 94%, and teachers’ ability to utilize digital media increased from 77% to 92%. These findings indicate that teacher guidance in the use of digital science magazines based on Blitar’s local wisdom is effective in supporting contextual learning, enhancing teacher competencies, and strengthening environmentally conscious character among elementary school students.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology are encouraging UMKM operators to adopt more effective marketing strategies, but artisans who create hand-knitted bags based on local traditions still face limitations in utilizing digital marketing. This study aims to enhance artisans’ ability to develop their businesses through continuous education and digital marketing guidance without compromising their local cultural identity. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design targeting hand-knitted bag artisans in Senggreng Village, Malang Regency. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that measured four indicators: the ability to identify target markets, understand customer needs, implement integrated digital marketing, and improve profitability. The results showed improvements across all indicators: target market by 12.36%, customer needs by 3.19%, integrated marketing by 12.36%, and profitability by 5.26%. These findings indicate that continuous education combined with digital marketing based on local wisdom can strengthen marketing capacity, enhance business competitiveness, and support the sustainability of UMKM in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

High levels of economic activity in the Kedhung Town Square MSME Park area (Ngadirejo Village, Trenggalek Regency) have led to environmental issues, including increased single-use plastic consumption, poor waste sorting practices, and suboptimal eco-friendly behavior among the community. This Community Service (PKM) initiative aims to strengthen community-based eco-friendly behavior by leveraging digital education for MSME operators, area managers, and the general public. The methods employed included outreach sessions, lectures, discussions, hands-on practice, and mentoring on the creation of social media-based environmental educational content. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-tests, post-tests, and participant response questionnaires. Results showed an improvement in participant understanding, evidenced by the rise in average scores from 84.77 in the pre-test to 91.69 in the post-test. Furthermore, participants successfully produced digital posters, short videos, and visual content for environmental campaigns and demonstrated active participation in eco-friendly practices—such as reducing single-use plastics, sorting waste, and using social media for environmental education. This program has positively impacted community awareness and participation in community-based environmental management and holds potential as a model for community empowerment through digital education. Thus, digital education has proven to be an effective approach in fostering collective eco-friendly behavior, paving the way for a clean, healthy, and sustainable MSME area.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the adaptation process of 10th-grade high school students facing academic, social, and emotional changes, as well as shifts in learning motivation, after entering high school. The study aims to analyze the development of 10th-grade students in the learning adaptation process at high school based on cognitive, social, and emotional aspects, as well as motivation and future planning. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research subjects consisting of one homeroom teacher and four 10th-grade students from Class 3 at SMAK Diponegoro. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that students experienced changes in their thinking patterns, demands for independent learning, and their ability to adapt to a new social environment. In social and emotional aspects, students demonstrated positive development through increased courage to interact, collaborate, and express opinions, although there were still obstacles in the form of low self-confidence and difficulty understanding more complex learning materials. Additionally, students’ learning motivation was influenced by support from parents, teachers, peers, and organizational experiences that helped students plan their futures more thoroughly.
