Abstract

Social media has become a major platform for dissemination, including digital da'wah content, which has great potential to improve religious literacy in various student information circles. This study uses a literature study approach that adopts the systematic literature review (SLR) method, data is collected from various relevant sources, including journal articles and current research reports which are then used for qualitative data analysis with a thematic approach, which allows researchers to identify the main themes related to the role of social media in digital da'wah, then finally verified the data. The results of the study indicate that social media not only expands the reach of da'wah, but can also increase student interaction and participation in religious learning. Da'wah content presented in an attractive format, such as videos and infographics, has proven to be more effective in attracting the attention of students and increasing their understanding of religious values. However, there are challenges such as the dissemination of information that does not need to be verified, because it can confuse students in understanding the correct religious teachings. The purpose of this study is to provide insight into the role and use of social media as an effective tool in religious education. Recommendations for further research include the development of more creative da'wah and training content for educators in utilizing social media. It is hoped that this research can provide a significant contribution to religious education that is relevant to the needs of students in today's digital era.
