Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum Jombang has implemented innovations in curriculum evaluation to measure success and continuously improve the quality of education as an excellent madrasah. This study focuses on curriculum evaluation innovations, supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as their impact on realizing an excellent madrasah. The research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection methods. Data analysis is conducted through case study analysis, data collection, and conclusion drawing. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the study and development of curriculum management theory in Islamic educational institutions. The results of the study indicate that curriculum evaluation innovation is not limited to context, process, and product, but also includes outcomes. These innovations are carried out by the head of the madrasah through various approaches, including consultation. Supporting factors include full support from the leadership of Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School through review and guidance related to curriculum evaluation, competent human resources in the field of curriculum, and adequate facilities. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the absence of clear boundaries in evaluation, as evaluations are conducted in accordance with the development of the times and the conditions of the implemented curriculum. The impact of curriculum evaluation innovation includes the creation of a positive learning environment, improvement of the education system, and the production of competent students.
