Abstract

The development of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) has opened new opportunities for creating library promotional media that are more creative, faster, and more efficient. However, most school librarians still have limited ability to utilize this technology for promoting library services. This community service activity aims to improve the competencies of school librarians in Bekasi City in designing AI-based promotional content through the use of ChatGPT and Gemini. The methods used include socialization, demonstration, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation of participants’ work. The training stages include story idea development, storyboard creation, script writing using ChatGPT, character and background illustration using Gemini, and AI-based promotional video production. The results show that participants were able to produce library promotional media in the form of short videos that are more attractive, communicative, and aligned with the characteristics of their respective schools. The implementation of this model enhances creativity, content production efficiency, and librarians’ digital literacy in supporting library promotion in the era of digital transformation.
