Abstract

The development of digital technology provides opportunities for students to use technology as a means of learning and producing creative works. One technology that can be utilized is Canva, a design platform that allows students to create various digital works in a simple and attractive way. This activity aimed to provide students with an understanding of the use of Canva as a digital technology and to encourage them to use technology wisely, creatively, and productively. The activity was conducted with students at SDN 57 Pasar Bengkulu and SMPN 7 Pasar Bengkulu through material presentation, discussion and question-and-answer sessions, demonstrations of Canva use, digital work creation practices, and simple evaluations. The materials covered the use of technology in everyday life, digital information selection, personal data security, digital ethics, and the use of Canva as a medium for creative work. The results showed that students responded positively and actively participated throughout the activities, particularly during the Canva practice session. Students were able to explore basic Canva features, such as selecting templates, adding text and design elements, and creating digital works based on their own ideas and creativity. These activities demonstrate that the use of Canva can provide students with experience in utilizing technology not only for entertainment but also as a means of learning and producing creative and educational works. Therefore, the use of Canva as a digital technology can be one of the activities that supports the development of students' technology literacy in schools.
