Abstract

One of the cultural gems located in Danum Dara hamlet, Orang Lunsa Village, South Putussibau District, West Kalimantan is called Rumah Betang Lunsa Hilir. This traditional Dayak house, built in 1942, presents a unique experience with an elongated stage architecture using ironwood and ironwood materials which are known for their strength. With a building area of 1,980 m² and land area of 18,900 m², this house is a silent witness to the life of the Dayak Taman Kapuas tribe. As a cultural heritage tourist attraction, Rumah Betang Lunsa Hilir is officially recognized through the Regent's Decree No. 47 of 2006 and the Decree of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 612 / C.1 / F5.3 / 19982. On the other hand, the beauty and sustainability of this house are threatened by landslides on the river side which can erode the land side and threaten the existence of this historic building. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia (PUPR RI) is committed to preserving this heritage by improving infrastructure including the rehabilitation of the cultural heritage of the Betang House. Landslides that often occur due to increased shear stress or decreased shear strength of the soil are challenges that must be overcome to maintain slope stability and prevent landslides that can damage the beauty and historical value of this Betang House. With the right analysis, effective solutions can be implemented to maintain the sustainability of the Lunsa Hilir Betang House so that future generations can continue to enjoy and learn from this valuable cultural heritage.
