This study aims to explore teachers' strategies in adaptive classroom management based on Student Centered Learning (SCL) to optimize student academic achievement and discipline character at SDN Adiarsa Barat IV Karawang. Effective classroom management is one of the key factors in creating a conducive learning environment; however, challenges such as declining academic performance and low student discipline are still encountered. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques comprising participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research subjects are the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher and third-grade students of SDN Adiarsa Barat IV. The findings reveal that the teacher implements an adaptive classroom management strategy encompassing: (1) structured lesson planning based on teaching modules, (2) co-constructed classroom rules as the foundation of discipline, (3) active learning through lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, mind mapping, and ice breaking activities, and (4) reflection and evaluation through group work and student worksheets (LKPD). The SCL strategies applied result in a conducive learning environment, increased student motivation and engagement, and the formation of discipline character. Supporting factors include the teacher's communication competence, students' intrinsic motivation, and adequate learning facilities. This study recommends strengthening SCL-based classroom management training for teachers as a continuous effort to improve the quality of learning at the elementary school level.
