Abstract

This study aims to collect information on strawberry (Fragaria vesca) cultivation techniques and find out good strawberry (Fragaria vesca) cultivation techniques based on cultivation and production techniques. The research was carried out in several villages in Berastagi District, Karo Regency. This research was started from March to April 2022. The number of samples in this study were 21 strawberry farmers. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and used multiple linear regression analysis using the t (partial) test, the F test (simultaneous), and the R2 test (Determination). Based on the results of the evaluation carried out, it can be stated that the strawberry cultivation technique was carried out and affected the production of strawberry production, namely the Mencir variety, plant age> 8 months, width 60 cm, bed height 35-45, transplanting age 2 months, compost + fertilization + special fertilization, routine pruning once a month, and regular watering during the rainy season. Overall the harvest color, fruit color, size, and taste have a significant effect on the durability of the strawberry.

Abstract

The quality of farmers' cacao beans is generally still low today. One of the causes is because they are planted at various altitudes, especially in the highlands. The research focuses on the characteristics of cacao pod and beans at several altitudes in the highlands of North Sumatra. This research is conducted from July 2022 to December 2023 in Simalungun, Karo, Dairi, Samosir, North Tapanuli, and Humbang Hasundutan Regencies of North Sumatra Province. The parameters observed are pod length, pod diameter, pod volume, pod dry weight, bean dry weight, number of beans per pod, average weight per bean at 24 different altitudes between 815 m to 1300 m above sea level, with 10 pieces (replications) respectively in each level. The research results show that the characteristics of cacao pod and beans decrease along with increasing altitude in the highlands. The characteristics of cacao pod and beans in the highlands are still in the normal category compared to those in the lowlands

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk dalam menekan persentase serangan Orseolia oryzae pada tanaman padi. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan sebagai berikut: F0: kontrol; F1: Kotoran sapi; F2: Pupuk Organik Kompos; F3: Pupuk NPK Tunggal, P4 : Pupuk NPK Majemuk (16:16:16). Penelitian dimulai dengan pembuatan pupuk organik (kotoran sapi dan kompos), penanaman, penerapan perlakuan, pengumpulan data, dan analisis data observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk meningkatkan jumlah anakan, jumlah malai, bobot 1000 butir, produksi per plot dan menurunkan persentase serangan hama Ganjur (Orseolia oryzae). Kotoran sapi adalah perlakuan terbaik.
