Abstract

The mindset and readiness of teachers in schools are the main challenges in bringing mathematics learning innovations to the elementary school level. Mathematics is frequently perceived as a daunting and difficult subject due to conventional teaching patterns that tend to be theoretical and monotonous. One effort expected to prepare teachers to overcome these obstacles is through training and mentoring in the GASING (Easy, Fun, and Enjoyable) method. The training partners consisted of 20 participants including School Principals and Elementary Teachers within Cluster 04 Bima Jaya Tuban (SDN Sidorejo 1, SDN Sidorejo 2, SDN Sidorejo 3, and SDN Doromukti). The activity was held at UPT SDN Sidorejo 2 Tuban on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 08:00 WIB until completion. The program implementation method was divided into two stages: preparation and implementation of accompanying training. This training resulted in an increase in participants' cognitive understanding and practical skills regarding basic mathematical operations from concrete, pictorial, to abstract levels. In the psychomotor aspect, improvement was proven by participants' success in simulating fast calculation techniques for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals on the whiteboard. Changes in attitude toward mathematics learning were evident from the participants' optimism, enthusiasm, and confidence to immediately implement the GASING method in their respective educational units.
