Abstract

Sampah dan polusi udara yang berasal dari kendaraan bermotor telah menjadi sebuah masalah besar di berbagai kota besar. Limbah dapat diproses menjadi energi listrik dengan teknologi fisika plasma dan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada sewa lahan yang mahal pada lingkungan perkotaan maka kapal dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai struktur bangunan terapung di atas laut. Menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dan desain kebutuhan kapal terapung didapat kalkulasi yang diestimasikan dari energi listrik yang dapat dihasilkan dari 11.686,56 ton sampah/hari adalah 581,306 MW, yang mana dapat mencukupi 15,5%  dari listrik di wilayah DKI dimana total kapasitas terpasangnya adalah 3748,40 MW.

Abstract

Sampah dan polusi udara yang berasal dari kendaraan bermotor telah menjadi sebuah masalah besar di berbagai kota besar. Limbah dapat diproses menjadi energi listrik dengan teknologi fisika plasma dan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada sewa lahan yang mahal pada lingkungan perkotaan maka kapal dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai struktur bangunan terapung di atas laut. Abstract

Landing Craft Tank (LCT) is a type of attack landing craft to ship tanks on the waterfront. In general, LCT 415 Gross Tonnage (GT) ships are not ready to sail using emergency generators. According to Biro Klasoifikasi Indonesia (BKI) rules, only ships with more than 500 GT are required to have an emergency generator package. However, for the LCT 415 GT to gained higher level of safety, the ship is equipped with an emergency generator package installation. This generator is used as an electric power source which is used by the ship's compass in off condition. The purpose of this study wants to learned the electrical power requirements on the LCT 415 GT to determine the required emergency generator package specifications and provide an overview of the generator's placement on the main deck. Emergency generator packages are arranged to improve ship safety, crew and cargo. In an emergency, LCT 415 GT ships required a total power of 29,9408 kW. The basic package of emergency generator set selection is based on the total emergency power following BKI regulations as well as the generator safety engine package set when extreme weather conditions.

Abstract

Metal battery technology of air into a promising alternative power source and its development is being observed throughout the world, this technology is applied in various fields such as electric cars and even electric boats. Aluminum into the anode material has advantages over other metals, red brick became one alternative cathode materials for battery air-conditioned metal, a mixture of these two materials have been studied in many developed countries as an alternative material manufacture battery cathode. In Indonesia, it will be used since the time of our ancestors in many good purposes pottery, building material until the red brick. Then conducted trials to determine the ability of this material as a cathode air on Aluminum-air battery with 6 Mol Potassium Hydroxide as a solution of electrolytes, voltage values with cell dimensions of Ø25 mm and 10 mm thick produce the highest voltage value of 1.28 volts and a current of 29 mA, battery cells can be applied optimally in the light 1 watt when strung together 27 series battery cells. Series or parallel with the system's expected battery by utilizing residual red brick waste can be used for alternative energy sources lighting. Energy produced has properties Sustainable Environment, does not damage the environment, have the availability of the primary material, and has a good safety compared to other batteries.

Abstract

Kebutuhan tempat penyimpanan ikan hasil tangkap pada kapal-kapal nelayan semakin penting untuk menjaga agar tekstur ikan hasil tangkapan masih tetap dalam kondisi baik dan tidak rusak ketika sampai ke tangan pembeli. Pengunaan ice slurry (bubur es) menjadi pilihan terbaik karena Ice slurry dapat menjaga agar tidak ada udara diantara ikan dan es sehingga pendinginan ikan menjadi lebih cepat serta pertumbuhan bakteri menjadi lambat. Penelitian ini merupakan review variasi performa dan temperatur dari berbagai desain dan rancangan ice slurry terutama pada komponen evaporator yang telah dilakukan oleh tiga peneliti. Peneliti yang pertama adalah peneliti A (Fajri) dari UI menghasilkan temperatur mencapai -15 0C dalam waktu 7 jam, Peneliti B (Nasirin) dari IPB mencapai -4 0C dalam waktu 0.45 jam, dan Peneliti C (Suganda) dari ITS mencapai -2.5 0C dalam waktu 14 jam. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa performa desain terbaik adalah ice slurry oleh Peneliti A dengan rate temperature mencapai -2.14 0C/jam.

Abstract

As a maritime country, Indonesia relies heavily on ships as an economical means of transportation and conveyance. Boats, which were used for many years, were originally made of wood. However, because wood has properties that are easily weathered due to weather and chemical factors and requires adequate maintenance, fiberglass material in the form of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics) laminates appeared as a substitute for wood. This material has many advantages over wood, so ships made from FRP began to gain a place in the shipping world, especially among ship manufacturers. However, In 2009, a survey carried out at multiple shipyards revealed that the construction design and lamination process of fiberglass ship hulls generally did not have clear standards, resulting in a significant risk of accidents. To minimize this risk, a simulation of fiberglass construction testing was held with samples taken from 6 shipyards where each sample had a different configuration and material, and the results of Carbon Fiber provided optimal results.

Abstract

Teknologi baterai logam yang memanfaatkan udara muncul sebagai sumber energi alternatif yang menjanjikan, dan perkembangannya dipantau secara global. Teknologi ini diterapkan dalam berbagai bidang seperti kendaraan listrik dan bahkan perahu listrik. Aluminium yang digunakan sebagai bahan anoda menawarkan keunggulan dibandingkan logam lain, sementara bata merah muncul sebagai alternatif potensial untuk katoda baterai dalam logam bertekanan udara; kombinasi kedua bahan ini telah diteliti secara intensif di berbagai negara maju sebagai pengganti produksi katoda baterai. Di Indonesia, bahan ini telah digunakan sejak zaman nenek moyang kita untuk berbagai tujuan bermanfaat, termasuk keramik dan bahan bangunan, hingga bata merah. Selanjutnya, uji coba dilakukan untuk menilai kemampuan bahan ini sebagai katoda udara dalam baterai aluminium-udara menggunakan larutan elektrolit 6 Mol Kalium Hidroksida. Dimensi sel Ø25 mm dan ketebalan 10 mm menghasilkan tegangan puncak 1,30 Volt dan arus 30 mA, memungkinkan aplikasi optimal sel baterai untuk lampu 1 Watt saat 27 sel baterai dihubungkan secara seri. Abstract

The ship being analyzed is a Ferry ro-ro 2000 GT sailing from Bali to Lombok via the Lombok Strait crossing route with a distance of 38 nautical miles. Identification of the use of diesel fuel for ship operations is important for ferry vessels, especially in connection with efforts to efficiently use of diesel fuel in ship operations. In solving problems, efficiency analysis is completed by applying technical analytical, correlational-predictive, and comparative methods. The technical analytical method is specifically used to calculate engine characteristics in fuel use, and the correlational-predictive method is used as an approach method to the phenomenon of the relationship between engine characteristics in the use of different fuels in ship operations, in contrast, the comparative method approach will be used to provide a detailed illustration. More complete in a case study of the use of diesel as fuel for the operational main engine of a ferry ship.
