Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology offers significant opportunities for various sectors to enhance service effectiveness and efficiency, including the management of social assistance at the village level. Utilizing web-based technology serves as a solution to facilitate management, monitoring, and information dissemination in a faster and more transparent manner. This research aims to develop a web-based Information System for Monitoring and Classifying Social Assistance in Tema Tana Village. The system is designed to assist the village government in monitoring the distribution of social assistance and ensuring that aid reaches community members who meet the beneficiary criteria. Furthermore, the system is expected to aid village officials in data collection, the categorization of assistance types, and the structured presentation of information, thereby enabling data-driven decision-making. The system development method employed in this study is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), comprising the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation review to gather information regarding the existing social assistance management process in Tema Tana Village. The developed system involves four primary actors: the village head, the village secretary, the village treasurer, and the community. Each actor possesses distinct access rights tailored to their specific roles in the management and monitoring of social assistance. The expected outcome of this research is a web-based information system capable of effectively supporting social assistance monitoring, enhancing management transparency, and assisting the village government in ensuring that social assistance is distributed efficiently, reaches the intended targets, and aligns with community needs.
