Abstract

Bullying can undermine students' sense of safety, comfort, and development. At the elementary school level, anti-bullying education needs to use approaches appropriate to children's characteristics so that students can distinguish between jokes, ordinary conflicts, and harmful behavior. This community service activity aimed to strengthen elementary school students' awareness of anti-bullying behavior through interactive education at SD Negeri 107105, Kuta Baru Village, Tebing Tinggi District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The activity was conducted on July 18 & 25, 2026, involving 32 sixth-grade students for approximately three hours. The activity used an educational-participatory approach involving material presentation, discussion, question-and-answer sessions, situational examples, educational games, and audiovisual media through a Smart TV. The materials covered the definition and forms of bullying, the distinction between jokes and bullying, impacts on victims, the role of bystanders, and prevention and reporting actions. Evaluation was conducted observationally through participation, students' answers, their ability to identify situations, and responses during the activity. Observations indicated active student involvement and an ability to identify several forms of bullying and more appropriate responses. These findings suggest that interactive education can serve as a preventive strategy to build anti-bullying awareness. However, because the activity was conducted only once and did not use a pre-test and post-test design, the results are not interpreted as evidence of long-term behavioral change
