Abstract

Digital public education services have expanded access to educational resources, but their long-term effectiveness depends on continued user engagement post-adoption. This study examines how perceived convenience and user satisfaction relate to continuance intention in China's digital public education services. Drawing on service convenience and post-adoption perspectives, a model was developed predicting that perceived convenience relates to continuance intention both directly and through user satisfaction. Online survey data from 103 users were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results show perceived convenience positively relates to user satisfaction (β = 0.827, p < 0.001) and continuance intention (β = 0.457, p = 0.021). User satisfaction also positively relates to continuance intention (β = 0.459, p = 0.011) and acts as a complementary partial mediator (β = 0.380, p = 0.023). These findings highlight the role of service process evaluation in sustaining user engagement. Due to cross-sectional design and nonprobability sampling, results represent inter-variable relationships rather than causal effects or generalizable population estimates.
