Abstract

The welfare of adopted animals is an important aspect that should be a concern for improving the quality of life and overall health of these animals. However, in the real situation that occurs, the welfare of adopted animals is often neglected by those who adopt these animals. Proper welfare practices for pets can enhance the quality of life and ensure their good health, reducing the risk of diseases and preventing disease transmission. Medan Animal Rescue is an organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of adopted animals. To support  the process of animal rescue and placement, an information system is needed to facilitate the activities at Medan Animal Rescue. The information system is developed using the waterfall methodology and tested using the black box testing method and user acceptance testing (UAT). The ultimate result of this research is an information system that can be utilized by both Medan Animal Rescue and adopters in the process to enhance the welfare of adopted animals.

Abstract

In the current film industry, the competition is very big. We can see it in online streaming content through the ratings obtained. Film itself is a visual work that is packaged as a product of public entertainment for a specific purpose. However, there are also many films that are considered not to meet the audience's expectations. Even the films presented are sometimes illegal or pirated films. We can also find out whether a film is recommended or not. The problem is that viewers rarely understand how to see recommendations or even provide appropriate film recommendations. This study aims to develop a film recommendation system model using a combination of K-Means bisecting and Collaborative Filtering. The film data used in this study comes from Movie-Lens which consists of 100,000 ratings from 668 users for 10329 film titles in 18 film genres. The training process consists of a cluster process with the K-Means bisecting algorithm and calculating similarity values ​​with collaborative filtering (item-based and user-based). The testing process is carried out to calculate the system error value by calculating the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) value. The results of the study show that recommendations with bisecting K-Means and user-based collaborative filtering get lower MAE values ​​compared to bisecting K-Means and item-based collaborative filtering.

Abstract

CV. Indo Karya merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur besi, membeli gulungan besi dari Jakarta dengan ukuran khusus lalu membentuk dan menjual produk bahan pembuatan pintu folding gate. Saat ini, CV. Indo Karya masih menggunakan Microsoft Excel untuk melakukan pengelolaan stok dan pencatatan transaksi pembelian dan penjualan serta pengarsipan dengan dokumen fisik seperti buku. Hal tersebut menimbulkan berbagai masalah, seperti kesalahan pencatatan dapat menyebabkan selisih stok dan pencatatan transaksi berulang, pencatatan yang memakan waktu, serta terjadinya kerusakan atau kehilangan pada dokumen fisik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan aplikasi untuk melakukan pengelolaan stok berbasis Mobile dan Web. Aplikasi ini akan memudahkan CV. Indo Karya dalam mengelola stok yang diperbarui secara otomatis, pencatatan transaksi tersimpan dengan aman, serta meminimalisir kesalahan-kesalahan dalam pencatatan maupun perhitungan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan dengan Black Box Testing, aplikasi pengelolaan stok yang dihasilkan beserta fitur-fiturnya sudah dapat berjalan dengan baik dan benar serta menyimpan dan menampilkan informasi dengan cepat dan tepat, sehingga aplikasi dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan meningkatkan produktivitas CV. Indo Karya.

Abstract

Animals that receive welfare are in good condition, both physically and mentally. Based on research conducted by Bracke's Animal Protection Index (API), Indonesia received a 'D' rating. The explosion of the street animal population has become an issue in urban areas. The lack of care and handling of street animals has led to an explosion in the population of street animals such as stray cats and dogs. This population explosion has also led to various problems such as the rise of animal abuse cases, and the illegal capture of street animals for meat sale. Medan Animal Rescue is an organization engaged in rescuing abandoned animals and distributing abandoned animals as pets. In carrying out its operational activities, Medan Animal Rescue still uses simple and conventional methods. To overcome the problem of not maximizing the operational activities that take place, the utilization of information technology in the form of web-based animal adoption applications is very important to be applied to Medan Animal Rescue. The results obtained from the development of a web-based animal adoption application at Medan Animal Rescue show that the average user acceptance of the application is 85.54%. This means that the application is very helpful and worth using for animal welfare.

Abstract

The unconducive pandemic situation has greatly affected various aspects of human life, including education. Learning that used to be done face-to-face must change to online learning. Online learning is distance learning based on internet network technology such as video conference, video call or text chat. The ability to use devices that can support the online learning process is needed by students in order to have a better learning experience. An application that can facilitate students in collaborating, communicating, and sharing learning documents is Microsoft Teams. Based on the results of the perception test conducted, it was found that the participants were familiar with several software that support online learning process. But for Microsoft platform itself, they are not familiar with and understand its use. To overcome the students' problems, a service activity was carried out to provide training on the use of Microsoft Teams application. Training activities were carried out twice and the evaluation process was carried out by giving assignments and working on pre-test and post-test questions. Various features from Microsoft are used by the students for online learning, including conversation features, meeting, cloud storage (onedrive), collaboration on the same worksheet in Microsoft Office, and so on. From the results of working on pre-test and post-test questions, it shows that there is an increase in students' skills in using the Microsoft Teams application.

Abstract

The growing popularity of the Triv application as a cryptocurrency transaction platform in Indonesia has generated various user reviews that reflect perceptions of service quality. This study focuses on exploring user opinions through sentiment analysis techniques employing a classification approach based on the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The data, sourced from user reviews on the Google Play Store, is analyzed through a series of systematic stages, including sentiment labeling, text preprocessing, feature extraction, model construction, and performance evaluation of the resulting classifier. The experimental results show that SVM can accurately identify sentiment polarity, achieving an accuracy rate of 96%. These findings highlight the potential of machine learning approaches in understanding user perceptions of digital financial applications.
