Abstract

Smoking habit has many negative effects towardswomen’s systemic and oral health. One of them are decrease of salivary flow rate and an appearance of pigmentation lesion in gingiva. The aim of this research is to obtain data regarding salivary flow rate and pigmentation lession on women smokers.This descriptive research used 50 samples by simple random sampling method. The salivary flow rate data was obtained by spitting method and the pigmentation lesion data was described by visual method. The other data wasobtained through filling the questionnaire. By the findings of this research, it was found that the mean value of salivary flow rate and pigmentation lession of women smokerswho consumed1-8 cigarettes per day for 1-2, 2-5 and > 5 years were 0.4 ml/min & 51,7%, 0.4 ml/min & 100%, 0.4 ml/min & 100%. The mean value of salivary flow rate and pigmentation lession of women smokerswho consumed9-16 cigarettesper day for 1-2, 2-5 and > 5 years were 0.4 ml/min & 100%, 0.4 ml/min & 100%, 0.4 ml/min & 90%. The mean value of salivary flow rate and pigmentation lession of women smokerswho consumed>16 cigarettes per day for 1-2, 2-5 and > 5 years were 0.3 ml/min & 100%, 0.2 ml/min & 100%, 0.2 ml/min & 100%. The conclusion shows that salivary flow rate on women smokers has a lower value compared to normal salivary flow rate or its called oligosialia and most of the subjects have

Abstract

The Value Clarification Technique (VCT) is an innovative educational strategy designed to help students internalize moral, ethical, and social values through a process of discussion, reflection, and value exploration. This approach encourages students to examine and clarify their values, fostering personal growth and a deeper understanding of moral principles. This study uses a literature review method to investigate the effectiveness of VCT, its implementation in various educational settings, and the challenges that educators face when applying this method. The findings suggest that VCT significantly improves students' critical thinking abilities, enhances their capacity for collaborative learning, and helps instill strong moral values that influence their behavior and decision-making. Furthermore, the study emphasizes that the successful implementation of VCT requires more than just the use of specific techniques; it necessitates comprehensive teacher training to equip educators with the skills to facilitate value-based discussions effectively. An inclusive and supportive learning environment is also critical, where students feel safe to express their thoughts and engage in meaningful dialogue. Additionally, VCT should be adapted to the cultural contexts and diverse backgrounds of students to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. With the right principles in place, VCT has the potential to produce individuals with not only a strong moral foundation but also the ability to think critically and act responsibly in various social contexts. This study highlights the transformative power of VCT in shaping students into well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan aplikasi Al-Maktabah Al-Syamilah dalam pendidikan agama Islam. Al-Maktabah Al-Syamilah adalah perpustakaan digital yang menyediakan akses luas ke literatur Arab asli dan sumber-sumber otentik dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu Islam. Penggunaan aplikasi ini dalam pembelajaran agama Islam memiliki beberapa manfaat, seperti akses literatur asli Arab, sumber referensi kajian Islam, menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi Islam, alternatif pembelajaran jarak jauh, dan mengoptimalkan pendidikan agama Islam. Namun, terdapat tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan aplikasi ini, seperti pelatihan tenaga pendidik, penyediaan infrastruktur teknologi, pengembangan fitur tambahan, kolaborasi antar institusi, dan kebijakan penggunaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi untuk menginterpretasikan data dari studi pustaka yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan Al-Maktabah Al-Syamilah dalam pendidikan agama Islam.
