Abstract

The many types of products available require the company to have a fast, accurate, and efficient stock management system. However, if the stock recording process is still carried out conventionally or has not been integrated optimally, the risk of stock data discrepancies, delays in data updates, and errors in inputting goods will be greater. These problems can have an impact on the process of distribution of goods, inventory control, and management decision making. Based on these conditions, the purpose of this study is how to design a mobile application for inventory management using barcode technology at Aqua Japan in order to increase the speed and accuracy in the process of recording incoming and outgoing goods, facilitate real-time inventory monitoring, and overcome various obstacles in inventory management that are still carried out ineffectively and efficiently. The method used in this study is qualitative with the programming language flutter (android) and PHP (website) which was carried out for ± 3 months at Aqua Japan (PT. Haier Sales Indonesia). The results of this study are This study successfully designed and built an Android-based inventory management mobile application integrated with barcode technology to assist the inventory management process at Aqua Japan. The use of barcode technology in the application is able to speed up the input and identification process of goods so that it can reduce recording errors (human error) that often occur in manual processes. With this mobile stock management application, the stock management process at Aqua Japan becomes more effective, efficient, structured, and integrated so that it can help increase the company's work productivity.
