Abstract

        The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of corporate governance structures, represented by the number of commissioners, number of board of directors, institutional ownership, government ownership, and concentration of share ownership on the capital structure of manufacturing companies in Indonesia.        The population in this research are manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2016 by taking samples based on certain criteria. To test the hypothesis, the research uses multiple regression analysis techniques with a sample of 249 companies.        The results showed that the number of commissioners, the number of directors, and government ownership had no significant effect on the capital structure. Institutional ownership has a positive and significant influence on the capital structure of the capital structure. While the concentration of share ownership has a significant negative effect on the capital structure.

Abstract

Kembangsongo merupakan salah satu pusat pengrajin batik tulis yang terletak di desa Trimulyo, kecamatan Jetis, kabupaten Bantul. Kembangsongo dikenal sebagai pusat batik dengan ciri khas motif nitik. Nitik merupakan motif yang terdiri dari unsur titik-titik besar dan kecil membentuk suatu pola geometris, bentuk-bentuk bunga, daun, sulur, dan garis-garis panjang. Perkembangan industri batik telah mengalami pasang surut khususnya industri lokal seperti yang ada di dusun Kembangsongo desa Trimulyo Bantul. Sampai saat ini pengrajin batik di Kembangsongo masih banyak dijumpai. Dalam usaha melestarikan batik tulis khas Kembangsongo dibentuklah sebuah paguyuban batik di Kembangsongo yang dikenal dengan nama Paguyuban Batik Sekar Nitik.Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, rumusan masalah dalam peneltian ini adalah : (1) Apa latar belakang pendirian paguyuban batik sekar nitik di dusun Kembangsongo?, (2) Bagaimana perkembangan seni kerajinan batik sekar nitik dari tahun 2000 – 2015?, (3) Bagaimana usaha Paguyuban Batik Sekar Nitik Kembagsongo dalam melestarikan seni kerajinan batik lokal? Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian Paguyuban Batik Sekar Nitik Kembangsongo desa Trimulyo Bantul 2000 – 2015 dalam tinjauan sejarah dan perkembangannya adalah metode penelitian sejarah dengan empat tahapan, yaitu : (1) Heuristik (pengumpulan sumber), (2) kritik sumber, (3) interpretasi : analisis dan sintesis, (3) historiografi (penulisan).Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap data dan sumber yang telah didapatkan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan yang terjadi selama tahun 2000-2015 pada batik tulis Kembangsongo dapat dilihat dalam dua periode. Sebelum terbentuknya paguyuban batik sekar nitik para pengrajin batik di Kembangsongo hanya menjadi buruh batik mentahan saja, setelah mereka melakukan proses pemalaman pada kain, selanjutnya mereka menjual kepada pengepul. Setelah paguyuban terbentuk pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki pengrajin batik semakin luas dan banyak pengrajin batik yang meningkat baik dari produksi, pemasaran, pendapatan serta para pengrajin batik semakin inovatif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pasar. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh paguyuban sampai saat ini adalah dalam hal pemasaran, para pengelolah maupun anggota belum memaksimalkan fasilitas yang telah ada untuk mengembangkan pemasaran produk hasil paguyuban. Abstract

In the character of the virtues of wisdom and knowledge contained in the five which include knowledge and wisdom, namely creativity, curiosity, love of strength, love of learning and perspective. The objective of this study is to provide a description of the strength of the character of the virtue of wisdom and knowledge of students who are also prospective English teachers. This study uses a survey method involving 91 respondents of prospective English teachers at one of university in Bandung, Indonesia. The data was gathered through the utilization of the Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS) instrument which was then analyzed using the Rasch Model. The results of the study indicate that the activity of reading scientific books to fill spare time is a character that is difficult for students to do. Meanwhile, the character will continue to find out about the information that is of interest, which is a character that is easy to implement. There are about 50.5% of respondents who tend to have a strong character in wisdom and knowledge, about 36.2% tend to be simple and 13.1% tend to be weak. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the process of strengthening the character of the virtue of wisdom and knowledge for prospective English teachers.

Abstract

A good bank must be efficient because efficiency will increase banking productivity and performance. As an institution that functions for banking intermediation, it must have a healthy financial condition to function properly and gain public trust. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Economic Growth, Efficiency and Liquidity on the profitability of banks in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. There are inconsistent research results from previous studies, regarding efficiency, liquidity and economic growth that can affect banking performance. The sample used in this study was 35 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data processing in this study uses multiple regression with the help of SPSS version 20. The results of the study indicate that Economic Growth has a positive influence on bank profitability, for Efficiency and Liquidity has a negative effect on bank profitability. This research is expected to be useful both for the banking industry in making decisions and the government in making policies.
