Abstract

Background of the study: Archives as a collective memory of a nation make it important to be managed and disseminated to all Indonesian people, especially in the current generation of Indonesian youth, namely the generation of digital natives. The generation of young people being the successors of the Indonesian nation's struggle must know the long history of the social history of the people in Indonesia through archives. The government has made a solution through a conscious archive movement but in reality the conscious socialization of the archives seems to not be heard in the community especially by the generation of digital natives. Access to archives carried out domestically in ANRI's annual report in 2015-2016 shows that in 2015 there were 5,215 people and in 2016 there were 4,747, a decline in 2016 regarding access to archives.Purpose: This study aims to provide recommendations regarding the use of promotional media that can be carried out by ANRI institutions in maintaining the nation's collective memory, especially towards the generation of digital natives.Method: This paper uses a literature review method with data collection of various materials contained in the library, such as newspapers, books, magazines, manuscripts, documents and so on that are relevant to research with theoretical studies and literature.Findings: The results of this study indicate that the promotional media that is right for use by ANRI in promoting archives is through social media and media mobile phone applications based on the way of interaction of the generation of digital natives. Conclusion: With this research, it is expected that ANRI as the highest institution managing state archives can consider the importance of promotion for archives and utilizing promotional media for the general public, especially in the generation of digital natives

Abstract

Abstrak This study will discuss 3 components in the disaster management cycle, namely disaster preparedness (preparedness), disaster response (response) and disaster recovery (recovery). Hulu Sungai Tengah in mid-January 2021, Law No. 24 of 2007 explains the definition of disaster which means a series of events or events that disrupt and threaten people's lives resulting in losses, damage, causing casualties, property losses and having an impact on psychology and individuals or society. Furthermore, disasters are categorized into two, namely natural disasters and non-natural disasters. Research on library preparedness in dealing with flood disasters (case study at the regional library in the Upper Sungai Tengah district) uses a qualitative descriptive approach (qualitative research methods). Where this study tries to understand the phenomenon in actual conditions, tries to describe what happened in its entirety and at play It is important for libraries to have plans and readiness if floods will occur in the future, as an early detection and safety net for libraries to respond quickly, but This preparatory plan is rarely considered as an important thing for libraries because they think that it is always safe and that disasters rarely occur which result in less alertness to these disasters. on the library. It is necessary to form a quick response task force team if disaster occurs again, furthermore the library in terms of buildings and infrastructure is very good and capable because it has a fairly new building and has 3 floors. Semester or quarterly training is important to be launched in order to have trained human resources in the event of a disaster. Abstract

IntroductionThe palm sugar industry in Hulu Sungai Tengah, South Kalimantan, is a traditional sector that supports the local economy and provides employment in the informal workforce. Despite its cultural and economic significance, the industry faces serious challenges, including unstable raw material supply, limited innovation, weak market access, and the absence of legal protection for workers. These issues raise critical questions regarding the long-term sustainability of this local industry.ObjectivesThis study aims to analyze the sustainability of the palm sugar industry in Hulu Sungai Tengah from the perspectives of local economic development, public policy, and labor law, while also integrating insights from Islamic economics and finance to propose a holistic framework for industry revitalization.MethodThis research applies a qualitative descriptive-exploratory approach involving in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The participants consist of palm sugar artisans, policymakers, small and medium enterprise representatives, and local government officials. Data were examined using a triangulation technique to ensure validity, and the Triple Bottom Line framework guided the analysis.ResultsThe findings reveal that the palm sugar industry retains strong economic potential due to naturally growing sugar palms and established cultural practices. However, systemic challenges persist, including lack of planned cultivation, reliance on traditional processing methods, weak branding, and widespread informality in labor practices. Islamic finance mechanisms such as profit-and-loss sharing, as well as instruments like zakat and waqf, offer promising pathways to strengthen capital access, innovation, and social welfare within the sector.ImplicationsThe study highlights the need for integrated policies between local government, financial institutions, and community stakeholders. Practical recommendations include cultivating sugar palms systematically, introducing innovation and digital marketing, providing fair labor protection, and mobilizing Islamic social finance. These steps can enhance resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability in line with both national development priorities and Islamic economic principles.Originality/NoveltyThis study contributes a multidisciplinary perspective by linking local economic analysis, public policy, labor law, and Islamic finance in the context of a traditional industry. It offers a novel framework for understanding how ethical and Shariah-compliant economic instruments can support the sustainable transformation of rural industries, an area that has received limited scholarly attention in South Kalimantan.
