Abstract

AbstractAs a pre-experiment, this study concentrates on measuring the effectiveness of “Avatar: The Legend of Korra” animated movie-based project to improve listening comprehension. The sample of this research is a group of eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 in School Year 2015/2016. Pretest and posttest are the instruments of the data collection. This research has fulfilled its purpose, that is to study the effectiveness of “Avatar: The Legend of Korra” animated movie-based project to improve listening comprehension of eighth grade students. It is proven that the effectiveness is strong by 1.41 of effect size, which means the fourth hypothesis is accepted. Treatment was given once for two-week long, including monitoring, project progress, and assessment (posttest). A 25% increase in score is found between pre-test (49.27) and post-test (65.37). This proved the “Avatar: The Legend of Korra” animated movie based project improved the students’ listening comprehension.  Keywords: Animated Movie, Based Project, Listening

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of tourists to the existence of Saung Angklung Udjo as a form of existence of Sundanese culture. This research was conducted at Saung Angklung Udjo cultural tourism. The research method used is a descriptive analysis study method with a qualitative approach, the respondents in this study were the tourists from Saung Angklung Udjo and the manager. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers about tourist perceptions of the existence of Saung Angklung Udjo as a form of existence of Sundanese culture, namely the role of Saung Angklung Udjo in Introducing Sundanese Culture to local and international tourists in the form of education, and especially in terms of its cultural appeal. As for the impact, the presence of Saung Angklung Udjo has a positive impact on tourists, managers and the community, where Saung Angklung Udjo can invite the community to preserve Sundanese culture.

Abstract

In the industrial world, it is very important to pay attention to the efficiency of production capacity where the manufacturing lead time for making shoe outsole is influenced by activities that are not value-added (Non Value Added) and activities that are not value-added but necessary (Necessary Non Value Added) in which there is some extravagance that occurs. These activities are in the form of temporary storage in the cooling room and the process of reworking defective products. The method used is Lean Manufacturing, the tools used are Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Process Activity Mapping (PAM). VSM is used to identify activities that have cycle times exceeding takt time, followed by mapping the Activity Mapping process to analyze activities that are not Value Added. Based on the results of research from 4110 seconds, the process lead time of 3600 seconds is a non-value added activity. The rework process  and material storage in the cooling room were identified as having the largest value contributing to lead time, so rework must be eliminated. the percentage  of Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) has increased. The reduction of the finished sheet material process is cooled to  the cooling room and the rework process  can save about 60 minutes of working time. Saving working hours can increase outsole production capacity  so that productivity increases and targets are achieved.Keywords: Lead Time Manufacture, Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, Prose Activity Mapping. Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis merupakan penyakit autoimun kronik yang umum terjadi pada lansia dan berdampak pada fungsi sendi. Selain terapi farmakologis, pendekatan nonfarmakologis seperti herbal compress ball semakin banyak dimanfaatkan karena bersifat alami dan minim efek samping. Kompres herbal hangat ini terbukti mampu mengurangi inflamasi lokal, memperlancar sirkulasi darah, dan memberikan efek relaksasi pada sendi yang nyeri. Namun, pengetahuan lansia mengenai manfaat dan cara penggunaannya masih rendah, terutama di layanan kesehatan primer. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Sukadamai pada tanggal 21 Mei 2025 bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman lansia terkait terapi ini melalui edukasi interaktif dan demonstrasi langsung. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pre-test dan post-test.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan lansia mengenai fungsi, manfaat, dan teknik penggunaan herbal compress ball. Edukasi yang disertai praktik terbukti efektif dan terapi ini berpotensi diterapkan secara mandiri di rumah. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar terapi herbal compress ball didorong sebagai bagian dari strategi perawatan mandiri bagi lansia.
