Abstract

Video and audio communications have become part of all areas of work. Two real-timecommunication protocols commonly used for IP-based video and audio communicationsare Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and real-time web communications (WebRTC). Bothprotocols have been widely used in softphone and video conferencing applications. Themain objective of this research is to make an analysis of the performance of a client serverapplication for video and audio communications developed by SIP and WebRTC. The SIPsystem consists of a softphone on the client side using Bria and a FreePBX server, forWebRTCapplications, using JavaScript and a server at Node.js. The results showed that the WebRTCaudio and video communication provided better quality in terms of PSNR. This is due tothe different codecs used between WebRTC and SIP. WebRTC uses VP8 as video codec, SIPuses H.246 as video codec, WebRTC uses G.711 as audio codec, and implemented SIP usesG.729 as audio codec.

Abstract

Multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoC) promises better data management for parallel processing than conventional SoC. This feature is very suitable for wireless communication systems. Better data processing management can reduce resource utilization and can potentially reduce power consumption as well. Hence, this research aimed to minimize the orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) processing hardware by proposing a new data sharing architecture on a heterogeneous MPSoC platform that incorporates inter-processor communication (IPC), multi-processor, multi-bus, multi-frequency and parallel processing design of the medium access controller (MAC) layer. This MPSoC was designed based on a RISC processor with an AMBA multi-bus system. To achieve high throughput, the proposed MPSoC runs at two different frequencies, 40 MHz and 80 MHz. The proposed system was implemented and verified using FPGA. The verification results showed that the proposed system can work in real-time with a maximum throughput of 11 MBps using a 40 MHz system clock. The proposed MPSoC is a promising solution to perform OFDMA processing on 4G and 5G technologies.

Abstract

Multimedia services are one of the internet needs with high data traffic network count since 2019. Two of the multimedia services, Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), have been widely used in applications for conducting video conferencing. The main objective of this research is to analyze network performance by an application with a client-server for audio and video communications developed with WebRTC and SIP protocols. The SIP system uses the FreePBX server, and the softphone application uses Bria. Whereas WebRTC uses JavaScript with servers on Ubuntu using Node.js. The analysis application uses a star topology and runs on a local network using Wi-Fi. After testing, the results show that the throughput, jitter, and packet loss of WebRTC are better than SIP. This result is caused by several factors including the type of codec, the type of platform, and the way of signaling and routing of each protocol.

Abstract

SDN Dayeuhkolot II is one of the public elementary schools in Subang Regency, West Java province. During the new adaptation period, the teaching and learning activities were conducted online. However, the teaching and learning process has not been optimal because schools and students are not fully ready to conduct online learning. Therefore, we found some obstacles during the teaching and learning activities. To accomplish this problem, an online learning strengthening program has to be implemented in SDN Dayeuhkolot II, Subang. The program was applied only to grade IV and V students from November 17 to December 4, 2020. The implementation method consisted of planning, the main program, and evaluation. Online learning took advantage of freely available tools and was easy to operate, namely Linktree and Quizizz. Linktree served as a medium for linking links related to teaching materials, including links for access to Youtube (videos containing learning materials) and links to Google forms (student attendance, test results from programs, testimonials). The Quizizz was used as an online evaluation. This strengthening program results showed that students gave an excellent response to the use of online learning media. They are comfortable carrying out online learning through the use of Linktree and Quizizz media.

Abstract

In this paper, development progress of a long-range radio communication-based fishing assistant system called e-Nelayan is reported. The purpose of the system is to increase the productivity, safety, and welfare of fishermen using mobile phone and long-range radio based system that enables them to report maritime violations, access and exchange information regarding weather, fishing area, marketplace, and also communication with mainland using Android-based mobile phone within extended range. We used LoRaWAN as a base technology for long-range communication scheme. In this work, the test conducted to obtain an insight to e-Nelayan device (LoRa-based) received RSSI and its packet loss. The received data collected in a server also includes the GPS tracking data. The test results show that our system reached approximately 5 km of distance between end-node to the LoRa Gateway within urban area (LoS configuration) and about 2 km for NLOS configuration.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Convergence Sublayer (CS) defined in IEEE Std 802.16TM-2004. The CS, situated atop the Medium Access Control Layer, plays a crucial role in classifying and mapping MAC Service Data Units (MSDU) to specific connections identified by Connection Identifiers (CID). Using the Embedded Configurable Operating System (eCos), an Open Source Real-Time Operating System, this research successfully demonstrates the implementation of MAC CS on a specific hardware platform. The findings indicate that eCos facilitates the efficient execution of MAC CS's classification and mapping functions.

Abstract

Bencana adalah kondisi tidak normal yangterjadi di suatu tempat atau lokasi yang dapat berdampak padamasyarakat, organisasi, atau perusahaan dan berpotensimenyebabkan kerugian jiwa, harta benda, aset, dan sumberdaya lingkungan. Risiko bencana, di sisi lain, didefinisikansebagai tingkat kerusakan dan kerugian yang tidak dapatdiperhitungkan dari kejadiannya atau peristiwa alamnya,tetapi dapat diminimalkan dengan mempersiapkan danmempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapi bencana. Bencanadapat mengganggu kelangsungan operasi perusahaan dalamupaya untuk melayani stakeholder-nya, tetapi ketikaperusahaan memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dibandingkanpesaingnya dan mampu mempertahankan reputasinya di pasar,perusahaan dapat pulih dengan cepat dan segera untukmelayani stakeholder-nya. Kondisi tersebut pasti akanmengganggu operasi perusahaan dan bahkan dapatmenghentikannya. Arahan ini memungkinkan perusahaan yangbergerak di bidang perbankan untuk memiliki dokumenAnalisis Dampak Bisnis (Business Impact Analysis/BIA).Dokumen ini dimaksudkan untuk mengidentifikasi prosesbisnis atau layanan bisnis penting perusahaan yang harusdipulihkan sesegera mungkin untuk memastikan bahwalayanan bisnis perusahaan Berdasarkan hasil penulisan danpengujian yang telah dilakukan, didapati kesimpulan bahwaBerdasarkan user requirement dan system requirementterdapat 18 fungsional dan 9 Non- fungsional sistem padapenulisan ini serta sesuai hasil analisis kuantitatif menggunakanMatrix Traceability, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwapersentase penilaian SIBIA melalui proses uji coba (testing) danproses keterimaan user (UAT) memperoleh nilai 92,86%,sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tools SIBIA dapat berjalansecara optimal dan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan user dankebutuhan system.Kata kunci— Bencana, Business Continuity Plan, BusinessImpact Analysis
