Abstract

This paper discusses how Muhammadiyah carries out its Islamic mission through education. Since its inception, Muhammadiyah has viewed education as an important means to spread enlightening Islamic teachings and answer the challenges of the times. Through the da'wah bil hal approach, Muhammadiyah not only conveys Islamic values ​​verbally or in writing, but also through real actions such as establishing schools, hospitals, and other social institutions. The education developed by Muhammadiyah combines religious knowledge and general knowledge, with the aim of producing a generation that is faithful, moral, and intellectually capable. This study uses a literature study method to examine Muhammadiyah's contribution in the field of education and its impact on society. The results of the study show that Muhammadiyah's educational approach has succeeded in creating an effective, progressive, and relevant da'wah model to date. Abstrak Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana Muhammadiyah menjalankan misi dakwah Islam melalui jalur pendidikan. Sejak awal berdirinya, Muhammadiyah telah memandang pendidikan sebagai sarana penting untuk menyebarkan ajaran Islam yang mencerahkan dan menjawab tantangan zaman. Melalui pendekatan dakwah bil hal, Muhammadiyah tidak hanya menyampaikan nilai-nilai Islam secara lisan atau tulisan, tetapi juga melalui tindakan nyata seperti pendirian sekolah, rumah sakit, dan lembaga sosial lainnya. Pendidikan yang dikembangkan Muhammadiyah memadukan ilmu agama dan ilmu umum, dengan tujuan mencetak generasi yang beriman, berakhlak, dan cakap secara intelektual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka untuk menelaah kontribusi Muhammadiyah dalam bidang pendidikan dan dampaknya terhadap masyarakat. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pendidikan Muhammadiyah telah berhasil menciptakan model dakwah yang efektif, progresif, dan relevan hingga saat ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari permasalahan yang terjadi di SMP PGRI 6 Bandar Lampung mengenai kemandirian belajar peserta didik khusus nya pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, maka dari itu peneliti mengambil model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) untuk mengukur tingkat kemandirian belajar peserta didik tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif dengan jenis model desain eksperimental dan instrumen berupa kuesioner yang diuji menggunakan uji T, normalitas dan reliabilitas di SPSS 25. Pendekatan pembelajaran SFE secara signifikan meningkatkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik, menutrut data penelitian. Analisis yang menggunakan baris pertama hasil uji T dianggap sah karena nilai signifikansi uji Levene sebesar 0,884 menunjukkan bahwa asumsi kesamaan varians terpenuhi. Dengan derajat kebebasan (df) = 50 dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (p< 0,05), nilai t sebesar 6,146 menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Oleh karena itu, dapat dikatakan bahwa pendekatan SFE mampu mendorong kemandirian belajar sebaik mungkin dan telah berhasil memotivasi peserta didik untuk lebih terlibat, percaya diri dan bertanggung jawab dalam proses belajar.

Abstract

Majelis taklim, As a non-formal Islamic educational institution, the Majelis Taklim (Islamic study group) plays a crucial role in fostering religious community, particularly in the modern era, marked by technological advancements, social dynamics, and changes in the community's lifestyle. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of Majelis Taklim in the modern era from a sociological perspective, using a case study of the Majelis Manbaul Irvani Walhikmah (Islamic study group) in Serang City. This research method uses a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation and interviews. The results indicate that Majelis Taklim has significant potential to expand the reach of Islamic preaching through digital media, improve the quality of technology-based learning, and strengthen religious social networks among its members. However, in this modern era, Majelis Taklim faces several challenges, including a lack of technological literacy among its members, competition with religious content on social media that is not always credible, and changes in the younger generation's interest in traditional religious activities. From a sociological perspective, Majelis Taklim maintains a strategic position as an agent of social transformation and guardian of religious values, but requires continuous innovation to adapt to the needs of modern society.

Abstract

Waste management has become a crucial issue in school environments as it affects cleanliness, health, and students’ ecological awareness. SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung faces the challenge of low student concern in sorting and utilizing waste, which requires innovative approaches through creative waste management. This study aims to provide a practical solution by transforming waste into useful products while enhancing students’ skills and environmental awareness. The method applied was a participatory approach involving creative recycling workshops, direct observation, and mentoring activities where students produced simple products such as handicrafts, plant pots, and household tools from waste materials. The results indicate that creative waste management not only reduces waste volume but also fosters creativity, collaboration, and responsibility among students toward their school environment. Therefore, creative-based waste management can serve as a practical solution as well as a sustainable educational medium in schools.
