Abstract

One way to improve the performance of an engine without dismantling the original engine is to modify the exhaust pipe, which is commonly called the exhaust. Here we use 4 types of exhaust, namely factory standard exhaust, slip-on exhaust (standard header-modified muffler), slip-on (modified header-standard muffler), and full system exhaust that we take from the market. This study aims to test the performance of the motor which consists of torque, power, and exhaust emissions (CO and HC levels) from the four types of exhausts, using a dynamometer to determine torque and power, an emission gas analyzer to determine the level of exhaust emissions (CO and HC). Our experimental results show the data, the results are still below the standards set by the Indonesian government. The greatest torque of 15.02 N.m at 7500 rpm and the greatest power of 18.36 hp is achieved by a full-system modified exhaust compared to the standard exhaust with the highest torque of 14.62 N.m at 7000 rpm and the highest power of 16.67 hp at 9500 rpm. The best exhaust emission levels are achieved by standard exhaust with the largest CO content of 0.62% at 10000 rpm and the largest HC content of 107 ppm at 10000 rpm compared to full system exhaust with the largest CO content of 1.79% at 10000 rpm and 201 ppm HC levels at 10000 rpm, in other words the standard exhaust is still more environmentally friendly than the full system exhaust.

Abstract

ST 37 material is a type of material that is easily available on the market at a relatively cheaper cost. However, the mechanical properties need to be improved so that they are better and have a longer life time. By using the shot peening method, it is hoped that changes in the shape of the microstructure will occur and the hardness value will increase. This research is focused on determining changes in microstructure and hardness values that occur as a result of the shot peening process with variations in air pressure of 2, 4, 6, and 8 kg/cm2. Shooting duration is 5 minutes. The diameter of the steel shot is 0.8 mm which has a hardness value of 40-50 HRC and the distance between the nozzle and the specimen surface is 100 mm. The microstructure was analyzed using an optilab microscope with 100 times magnification and photographed using an optilab connected to a computer. Surface hardness testing was tested using a micro Vickers hardness tester using an indentation load of 10 grams for 10 seconds. The research results show that a smoother microstructure layer is formed on the shot peened surface. The hardness test results indicate an increase in hardness proportional to the air pressure in the shot peening treatment method. Changes occurred in the raw material specimen with a hardness value of 187.14 VHN increasing to 194.20 VHN in the specimen with a shot pening air pressure of 2 kg/cm2. The increase in hardness tends to increase in proportion to the increase in shot peening air pressure, but is not very significant. Air pressures of 4, 6, and 8 kg/cm2 have hardness values of 199.41, 201.64, and 204.31 VHN. The data shows that the surface treatment method of shootpeening with varying pressure has had a positive impact in the form of increasing hardness in proportion to the increase in pressure.

Abstract

Berkembang pesatnya kemajuan teknologi menghadirkan inovasi baru khususnya pada sektor keuangan dengan adanya Financial Technology (FinTech). Salah satu tipe FinTech yang ramai diminati yaitu Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending atau layanan peminjaman berbasis teknologi informasi yang biasa dikenal masyarakat dengan pinjaman online (pinjol). Sejak tahun 2018 hingga kini, banyak aduan terkait pinjaman online ilegal, bahkan sudah ada 3.193 pemblokiran aplikasi/website pinjaman online ilegal. Kejadian tersebut diakibatkan karena tidak berimbangnya kemajuan teknologi dengan peningkatan literasi keuangan digital masyarakat, khususnya tentang pinjaman online. Untuk itu, perlu adanya pencegahan secara masif kepada masyarakat sebagai konsumen utama agar tidak mudah dijerat oleh para pelaku bisnis pinjaman online ilegal. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kuliah kerja nyata (KKN) sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk membantu masyarakat dalam menghadapi permasalahan yang ada dengan melakukan upaya preventif yakni memberikan edukasi bahaya pinjaman online melalui sosialisasi guna peningkatan literasi keuangan digital bagi masyarakat. Subjek sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat khususnya kelompok pemuda karang taruna di Dusun Kramat, Desa Cawet, Watukumpul, Pemalang. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan edukasi bahaya pinjaman online adalah dengan sosialisasi, dimana selain sesi pemaparan materi juga ada sesi tanya jawab dan diskusi. Hasil setelah dilakukan edukasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat khususnya kelompok pemuda karang taruna terkait literasi keuangan digital tentang pinjaman online.
