Abstract

Fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster) generally have four phases in their life cycle, namely eggs, larvae, pupae and imago. In general, Drosophila melanogaster experiences a life cycle of 8-11 days at optimal temperatures. At lower temperatures the time required to complete its life cycle is relatively longer and slower which is around 18-20 days. Whereas at higher temperatures adult flies that grow will be sterile. The development period of Drosophila melanogaster in its life cycle is influenced by several factors, namely ambient temperature, food availability, level of maintenance density and light intensity. This study aims to determine the effect of temperature on the life cycle of fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster). The study will be analyzed using quantitative analysis using randomized block design (RBD) with six temperature difference treatments for each treatment and repeated 4 times so that there are 24 experiments. The results showed the development in the Drosophila melanogaster cycle starting from Egg - Larva (Instar I) - Larva (Instar II) - Larva (Instar III) - Pre Pupa - Pupa - Imago. The life cycle of Drosophila melanogaster has an average of 42.08 hours or 1.75 days up to 79.96 hours or 3.33 days in each treatment. And obtained a fast time during the life cycle of Drosophila melanogaster at a temperature of 30°C is 10.47 days and the longest at a temperature of 18°C is 18.35 days.

Abstract

Program Pengenalan dan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Wimba dengan Media Pembelajaran Play Dough di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Kabupaten Tasikmalaya adalah untuk meningkatkan kualifikasi dan kapasitas pendidikan pengampu mata pelajaran IPA melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran  dan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif. Target yang ditetapkan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu guru-guru IPA yang berada pada jenjang Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) di wilayah Kabupaten Tasikmalaya diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran Wimba dengan media pembelajaran play dough dengan baik yang nantinya diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan visuospasial, dimana kemampuan visuospaisal ini bisa meningkatkan kecerdasan intelegensi guru maupun peserta didiknya. Selain itu mampu memberikan wawasan serta pengalaman pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan karena penerapan model pembelajaran Wimba dengan media pembelajaran play dough ini memberikan kreatifitas dan pengembangan ide terkait materi sel untuk guru maupun peserta didik.

Abstract

Energy resources in Indonesia need to use alternative energy. According to the world energy board, energy use tends to increase by 50 percent by 2020. Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has vast and tropical waters and this makes indonesia has a high potential for developing renewable energy from macroalgae. Karapyak beach area is a coastal area in southestern west java that has abundant water biodiversity and high potential for the development of marine biotechnology. Abundant macroalgae in the karapyak beach is Gracilaria Sp, which can be used as biogas. Then this study was conducted to determine the potential of Gracilaria Sp, as an alternative material for biogas which would later become an alternative energy power plant. Biogas quality determination can be seen from the content of CO2, CH4, C2H5OH, dan CH3OH found in Glacilaria Sp. So that the potential for developing seaweed biogas electricity can be seen from the results of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-regulated learning of students in biology subjects in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. The research method used is a correlation. The population in this study was the entire class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya, amounting to 272 students. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique as many as two classes, namely class XI MIPA 6 and XI MIPA 7 with 39 students who filled out the questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is a simple correlation test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and students' self-regulated learning. For the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-regulated learning, R is 0.568, which means it has a moderate level of relationship. The coefficient of determination of the emotional intelligence variable on the self-regulated learning variable is R2, which is 0.322, which means that the emotional intelligence variable contributes 32.3% to the self-regulated learning of students. Method, one of them by counseling approach of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) using guided imagery technique.

Abstract

Kajian ini tergolong sebagai kajian korelasional dengan maksud mencari keterkaitan antara konsep diri dengan kemampuan dalam memecahkan permasalahan peserta didik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Sampel pada kajian ini diambil dari kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 3 sejumlah 60 peserta didik dengan metode pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Instrumen pada kajian ini mempergunakan soal tes kemampuan dalam memecahkan permasalahan berbentuk uraian terdiri dari 25 soal dan angket konsep diri terdiri dari 40 pernyataan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dan linearitas sebagai uji prasyarat analisis, serta uji regresi korelasi bivariat sebagai uji hipotesis. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara konsep diri dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang termasuk dalam kategori korelasi sedang. Hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah ini memiliki nilai sebesar R=0,509 dan R2=0,259 yang berarti terdapat kontribusi konsep diri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebesar 25,9%, sedangkan 74,1% sisanya merupakan kontribusi dari variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Correlation of self-concept with problem-solving skills of students on environmental pollution materialsThis research is a correlational study that aims to determine the correlation of self-concept with the problem-solving skills of students on environmental pollution material.  The population in this study was all class X MIPA as many as seven classes consisting of 252 students.  The research sample was taken from class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 3 with as many as 60 students with a purposive sampling technique.  The research instrument includes a problem-solving skills test in the form of a description consisting of 25 questions and a self-concept questionnaire consisting of 40 statements.  The data analysis technique used is the normality and linearity test as a prerequisite test for the analysis, and the bivariate correlation regression test as a hypothesis test. The results showed that there was a correlation between self-concept and problem-solving skills abilities with a value of (R=0.509; R2=0.259) meaning that there was a contribution of self-concept to problem-solving abilities of 25.9% while the remaining 74.1% were other variables not examined in this research.

Abstract

Moon orchid is a member of the Orchidaceae family which is a seed plant and belongs to epiphytic orchids that attach to the host. Moon orchid is also one of the most popular orchids among the public because of the beauty of its large flowers and can last two to 4 months. However, the difficulty of re-flowering in moon orchid is one of the problems. This study aims to determine the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids (Phalaenopsis amabilis) through stimulation of shallots (Allium cepa L.) on the bud eye. This research is a quantitative research with true experiment method. Data obtained in the form of numbers of observations for 12 weeks. With simple random sampling technique. The population in this study were moon orchid plants that have roots, stems and leaves. This moon orchid plant is 3.5 years old and totalling 25 individuals. While the sample in this study is the second bud eye moon orchid plants from the base of the stem. There is an effect of shallot extract on the bud eye to stimulate the growth of new buds on the flowering of moon orchids. This study shows that there is an effect of shallot extract on the bud eye to stimulate the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids. There is the best concentration for the growth of new shoot height on the moon orchid is at a concentration of 40% with an average growth of 6.36 cm, while for the growth of new shoot diameter on the moon orchid is at a concentration of 30% with an average growth of 0.608 cm. Thus, the best concentration for the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids is between 30% - 40% concentration

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of wimba learning strategies with project based learning models toward student learning outcomes on the excretory system material. This research was conducted in September 2018 until September 2019. The research method used a true experiment with a population of all class XI in one of the State High School of Tasikmalaya City with 8 classes with a total of 288 students. The samples used were 2 classes taken by cluster random sampling, namely class XI mathematics and science 1 as a controller class and class XI mathematics and science 4 as an experimental class. Based on the results of the study, data analysis using the Ancova test and hypothesis testing can be concluded that there is an influence of the wimba learning strategy with project based learning model toward student learning outcomes on the excretory system material in class XI in one of the State High School of Tasikmalaya City 2018/2019.
