Abstract

Boyolali district is identical with dairy. Dangean village is located in the District of Cepogo which is a milk producing center in Boyolali. The majority of Dangean people as dairy farmers. The efforts to diversify the community business are by packing the daily activities of residents as a breeder to serve as a tourist attraction in rural tourism. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The method that is used in this research is experiment. The sample determination is done by purposive method that is foreign student representing foreign tourists. The sample is 5 foreign students. The number of samples is determined by considering the readiness of the facilities currently available in Dangean. The results of research conducted by a team of researchers from Ambarrukmo Tourism institute (STIPRAM) Yogyakarta showed that the attractions and packaging tour packages are the factors that become the main preference tourists when traveling in Dangean. The main strengths of Dangean are the activity of attractiveness, the visual landscape of the area, and the package of tourism activities. While the weakness that is currently owned by Dangean is the low level of popularity, competitiveness, and service.Keywords: Dangean Village, Kampung Wisata, attractions, tour packages.

Abstract

Students are one of the important entities in the tourism market structure in Indonesia. Statistics show that the largest portion of tourist market in Indonesia based on employment status is students, where the university students are included in this category. Students potential market is represent the future of tourism market. This fact indicated how importance the knowledge about the student preferences in the tourism management, to create the better plan for capturing more tourists from this segment. Abstract

Tulisan ini mengguanakn pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan. Tujuan paparan dari tulisan ini adalah menemukan bukti-bukti pembentukan dan penguatan karakter kewarganegaraan ekologis masyarakat melalui aktivitas ekowisata (baik pengelola maupun wisatawan). Aktivitas ini menjadi bukti konsep kewarganegaraan ekologis dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan non-formal berbasis kemasyarakatan. Hasil penelitian yang dipaparkan dalam tulisan ini menjelaskan bahwa aktivitas ekowisata yang dilakukan oleh pengelola objek wisata alam dengan menerapkan konsep eco-friendly activites  dan edu-ecotourism yang tidak merusak ekosistem lingkungan, menjaga kelestarian flora, dan fauna yang ada menjadi bukti karakter kewarganegaraan ekologis terbentuk dalam masyarakat. Begitu juga dengan wisatawan, dengan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan saat melakukan ativitas wisata, toleran terhadap budaya masyarakat yang beragam menjadi bukti memiliki karakter kewarganegaraan ekologis. Selain itu ada peran nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dapat menjadi pedoman tata laku dalam melaksanakan aktivitas ekowisata.

Abstract

Aim: This study aims to identify the diversity of biotic, abiotic and culture in Bantar Kulon Village. Methodology and Result: This study uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research approaches, using descriptive research techniques and ROS (Recreation Opportunity Spectrum). Bantar Kulon Village has a diversity of 5 abiotic potentials in the form of geographical and geological conditions, biotic potentials in 43 types of flora and 48 types of fauna, including 1 species has the status of Not Evaluated; (NE), 8 species have a Data Deficient status (DD), 43 species with Least Concern status (LC), 3 species with Near Threatened status (NT), 3 species Vulnerable (VU), 6 species have Endangered status (EN) and 1 species with Critically Endangered status (CR) based on the status of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, also 13 cultural potentials in the form of art, traditions, sites, and local wisdom. Conclusion, Significance and Impact Study: The potential of abiotic and biotic, also cultural elements of Bantar Kulon Village are very valuable to be capitalized in the form of ecotourism activities. The aspirations of tourists are in Class IV, while the perception of the community towards the development of ecotourism in Bantar Kulon Village is in Class III. This study suggests that limited adjustments should be made, especially in the fulfillment of accessibility and facilities so that the development of tourism in Bantar Kulon Village is more in line with tourist aspirations.
