Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumber daya perikanan Di Perairan Karang Agung, Tuban saat ini masih mempunyai potensi yang besar. Salah satu cara pemanfaatan sumber daya perairan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengoptimalkan alat penangkapan ikan yang dapat dilipat, hemat biaya, dan ramah lingkungan. Penerapan alat tangkap ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan lebih jauh mengenai potensi penangkapan rajungan di Perairan Karang Agung, Tuban. Bahan yang digunakan adalah bubu yang bisa dilipat dan peralatan penangkapan ikan lainnya. Penangkapan rajungan di Perairan Karang Agung, Tuban lazim dilakukan oleh masyarakat pesisir Karang Agung, Tuban yang menggunakan alat tangkap bubu lipat. Bubu merupakan salah satu alat pancing yang cukup familiar di telinga para nelayan. Alat tangkap ini berbentuk bubu, pasif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi laju tangkap rajungan yang ditangkap menggunakan bubu berdasarakan umpan yang digunakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode eksperimen, dengan menggunakan satu faktor pengolahan yaitu jenis umpan yang berbeda dengan menggunakan jenis alat tangkap yang digunakan adalah bubu lipat persegi. Umpan yang digunakan antara lain adalah ikan Swangi (Priacanthus tayanus), ikan Buntal Balon (Arothron hispidus), ikan Tembang Juwi (Sardinella gibbosa). Analisis data yang digunakan dilakukan dengan menggunakan  Perhitungan Hook Rate. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis  umpan jenis Ikan Buntal balon (Arothon hispidus) mempunyai persentase laju tangkap paling tinggi yaitu 64,33 % dibandingkan dengan prosentase laju tangkap pada perlakuan umpan Kepala Ikan Swangi (Priacanthus tayanus) sebesar 40 % dan perlakuan umpan jenis Kepala Ikan Tembang Juwi (Sardinella gibbosa) sebesar 29 %.

Abstract

Pola Mengonsumsi Ikan Sebagai Sumber Pangan Bergizi. Ikan laut merupakan salah satu sumber pangan hewani yang kaya akan protein, omega-3, vitamin, dan mineral penting bagi kesehatan. Sebagai negara kepulauan, Indonesia memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor perikanan laut, namun tingkat konsumsi ikan laut di kalangan masyarakat, termasuk mahasiswa, masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola konsumsi ikan laut di kalangan mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Ronggolawe Tuban, termasuk frekuensi konsumsi, jenis ikan yang dikonsumsi, sumber perolehan, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 20 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa aktif dari berbagai angkatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa mengonsumsi ikan laut 1–2 kali per minggu, dengan jenis ikan yang paling banyak dikonsumsi adalah tongkol (35%), tuna (25%), cakalang (15%), dan sarden (10%). Sebagian besar mahasiswa memperoleh ikan laut dari warung makan atau kantin  sekitar  kampus (65%), sedangkan  sisanya  dari rumah  atau memasak sendiri.  Faktor  yang  paling memengaruhi konsumsi adalah rasa (85%), harga (65%), dan kepraktisan penyajian (45%), sementara nilai gizi hanya menjadi pertimbangan  bagi 30% responden. Temuan ini menunjukkan  adanya kesenjangan antara pemahaman akademik mahasiswa terhadap manfaat pangan laut dan pola konsumsinya. Diperlukan pendekatan edukatif yang lebih aplikatif serta peningkatan akses terhadap ikan laut di lingkungan kampus untuk mendorong pola makan sehat yang berbasis potensi lokal dan mendukung ketahanan pangan laut secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Rapid technological advances make the maritime industry face significant challenges in managing environmental impacts, especially oil pollution by ship. Oil pollution not only causes environmental problems but also has the potential to damage marine ecosystems, human health, and coastal economies. This problem is exacerbated by the limitations of existing technology in preventing and dealing with oil pollution from ships. This article intends to evaluate the performance of oil pollution prevention and control technology by determining the effectiveness of existing technology, called OWS, and analyzing the obstacles faced in operating OWS. The method used in this article is a qualitative description referring to several literature reviews. The literature study results show that the technology used to prevent oil pollution from ships is OWS (Oil Water Separator). OWS effectively prevents oil pollution because ships can reduce the oil content in ships' waste. Meanwhile, the obstacle faced in operating OWS is the need for more maintenance, which causes OWS performance to be not optimal.

Abstract

Prigi Nusantara Fishing Port is a port located in the south of Java Island. Where the production of fishermen's catches that can be landed at the Prigi Nusantara Fishing Port is 24,928,229 kg. It is necessary to have a management plan and identification of cold chain system distribution costs to maximize the distribution of catches, in this study to the Tulungagung area. Cold storage also has an important role in the cold chain system. Thus, this study plans to identify the management process identify distribution costs, and assess the role of cold storage. This research aims to identify the management process and identify distribution costs as well as assess the role of cold storage. The results of this management mapping plan are from fishermen to cold storage, cold storage processing, and transportation to markets and consumers. With a total cost of IDR 173,382,000/year, including operational costs of IDR 82,950,000/year and vehicle travel costs of IDR 90,43,000/year, using a Thermo King truck. Assessment of the role of government cold storage obtained a score of 45.8% while private cold storage 43.6%. The role of cold storage is still not optimal for storing fish to stabilize prices.

Abstract

The smoothness of loading via sea transportation is greatly influenced by the discipline of the ship's crew and the condition of loading and unloading equipment such as grabs. However, on the MV Natascha, there are still obstacles in the form of damaged grabs and suboptimal crew discipline, which hinder the smooth loading process. This study aims to analyze the effect of crew discipline and grab maintenance on loading smoothness at MV. Natascha. The research employed a quantitative method, involving 23 ship crew members as respondents. Data were collected through observations and questionnaires, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 25. The results indicate that crew discipline has a positive and significant effect on loading smoothness with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Grab maintenance also shows a positive and significant effect with a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05. Simultaneously, crew discipline and grab maintenance contribute 73.5% to loading smoothness, while the remaining 26.5% is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings highlight the importance of disciplined human resources and regular equipment maintenance to improve efficiency and ensure smooth loading operations on bulk carrier vessels.

Abstract

Transporting container cargo by sea carries a high risk of cargo shifting and damage if containers are not positioned and lashed according to safety standards. Improper container positioning and suboptimal use of manual lashing can affect ship stability and cargo safety during voyages. This study aims to: 1). Determine the impact of container placement on the effectiveness and safety of container cargo, 2). Determine the importance of lashing as a preventive measure against damage and failure of container cargo safety functions, 3). Evaluate how the use of lashing and cargo placement conditions affect cargo safety levels. The method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 9 crew members of MV. Pulau Nunukan. Data analysis was performed using validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity tests, as well as multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of the study indicate that cargo placement and the use of manual lashing each have a significant effect on cargo safety levels. Simultaneously, both variables also have a significant effect with a coefficient of determination value of 85.3%.
