Abstract

The most basic education learned by humans is reading, writing, and arithmetic. Especially reading lessons, reading the beginning of the initial steps of reading skills, with an emphasis on the process of reading activity, which will be a reference for initial reading is recording and decoding. Beginning reading learning is the level of the process of learning to read to master the writing system as a visual representation of language. For this reason, efforts that can be made are to foster students' reading interest, motivate students, choose STAR reading learning strategies for relevant reading learning, and improve students' creative thinking skills. The main and fundamental problem in this study is whether through the STAR method students' initial reading ability can be improved? The purpose of this study was to improve the beginning reading skills of grade 1 students at SDN Pabuaran Tumpeng 2 using the STAR method. To answer the problems above, the researcher conducted a class action research. This class action research design uses the STAR method in accordance with the class action research criteria. The data collected is through observation and tests at the end of each cycle. The methods used in this research are descriptive, communicative and qualitative methods.

Abstract

This article aims to look at the role of teachers in shaping the character of students in public elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity analysis techniques used were triangulation, observation extension and increased persistence. The results of this study found that the teacher's role is very strategic in shaping the character of students because the teacher is not only a person who teaches character values to students theoretically but the teacher also provides an example, so that it is relevant between what is conveyed and what is done by the teacher.. So that it has a very positive impact on the formation of the character of students.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 telah menganggu proses pembelajaran secara konvensionl. Maka diperlukan solusi untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut. Pembelajaran secara daring adalah salah satu alternatif yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring di SDN Kalideres 06 Pagi, Jakarta Barat sebagai upaya menekan penyebaran covid-19 di Sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 4. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan wawancara virtual dan langsung ke sekolah dengan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Teori psikologi pendidikan tetap diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di situasi pandemi Covid-19; (2) Teori Behaviorisme dan Teori Konstruktivisme adalah teori yang paling dominan; (3) Pembelajaran yang dilakukan melalui via chat dan zoom cloud meetings.
