Abstract

Abstract Social pathologi is any behavior that is contrary to the norms that apply in society. This study aims to describe the forms of social pathology, factors causing social pathology, the impact of social pathology. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that focuses on data collection in the form of writing. In this research, the data collection techniques uses the reading and note-taking method. Data analysis technique used is from Miles Huberman in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The object of research uses a novel manuscript entitled Bendera Setengah Tiang by Annisa Lim which will be published by Coconut Books in 2022. The results obtained in this study are found in various forms of social pathology, namely the pathology of criminality, corruption, gambling, prostitution, and mental disorder. Criminality in the form of brawls, sexual, harassment, teror threats, kidnappings, persecution, and murders. In addition, the are also various factors and impacts caused by social pathology. The forms of social pathology contained in the novel Bendera Setengah Tiang were analyzed using Kartini Kartono’s theory. Keywords: Social Pathology, Novel, Literary Sociology

Abstract

This research aims to describe the character>s personality from the perspective of human personality structure, using a literary psychology approach. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique in this research uses reading and note-taking techniques. The object used in this research is the novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam by Dian Purnomo, published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2020. This novel tells the story of the character Magi Diela>s struggle to escape the customs that bound her to become an old man>s wife, named Leba Ali. The results of this research are the personalities of the characters Magi Diela and Leba Ali which are influenced by their personality structure, namely the id, ego and superego, which are analyzed using the psychological theory of personality initiated by Sigmund Freud.

Abstract

Understanding literary works in relation to the real world and social aspects of society is known as the sociological approach to literature. This research aims to describe the values of character education and find out or reveal the function of these character education values in social life in the collection of short stories in the daily Kompas.id March 2024 edition. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. Analyzed using a qualitative literature review approach. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubberman technique which consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the collection of short stories in the March 2024 edition of the daily Kompas.id contains character education values. Includes: the value of hard work character education, religious character education, creative values, honest values, curiosity values, social care values, hard work values, environmental care values,friendly values, and responsibility values.
