Abstract

This research tries to uncover kiai's hegemony based on the perspective of language which is correlated with the discourse of democratic values. Gramsci's hegemony is used as the basis for analyzing word structures in the context of the territory of a pesantren caregiver, to dissect the level of kiai's intervention on the sustainability of democratization through his utterances. The context of power uses Foucault's assertion, that the pattern of power relations cannot be conceptualized as belonging to an individual or class. Therefore, the author tries to distill the level of democracy from the power relations of the kiai at pesantren Raudlatu Ulum 2 Putukrejo Gondanglegi Malang through the texture perspective of his expressions. The method used is Qualitative research. This type of research uses methods of observation, interviews and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses the following steps: Field notes are reduced in categories. The results are presented for each category. Analysis of the language of caregivers in this paper is limited to two aspects: First, things that are nuanced politically. Second, matters relating to policies within the scope of pesantren.

Abstract

Especially in relation to the scientific structure of Islamic boarding schools, knowledge related to Arabic, such as sharaf, nahwu and other tool knowledge, knowledge related to sharia, such as fiqh, both regarding worship (ubudiyah) and transactions (mu'amalat), knowledge that related to the Al-Qur'an along with knowledge about the causes of the revelation of verses (asbab al-nuzul), correlation between verses, verses and hadith, tafsir-tafsir, and others (ulum al-Qur'an), knowledge of hadith along with knowledge about the causes of the existence of hadith (asbab al-wurud), etc. (mustalah al-hadith), knowledge related to logic (ilmu al-mantiq), knowledge related to the purification of the soul (tazkiyah al-nafs) which is framed in knowledge about etiquette (tashawwuf), knowledge that discusses the power and oneness of God (tauhid). The values built by Islamic boarding schools can be categorized into: (1) Essential values including: the value of honesty (al-shidq), the value of spirituality (al-ibadah), the value of struggle (al-jihad), the value of tolerance (al-tasamuh), the value of independence (al-i'timad ala al-nafs), the value of sincerity (al-ikhlas), example (uswah hasanah). (2) Instrumental values which include: wisdom, freedom to be guided, self-government, togetherness (collectivism). So it is not surprising that Islamic boarding schools are considered as an education system that can play an empowerment role in strengthening civil society (mobilization of civil society forces) maximally and effectively. Abstract

In fact, the SKI (Islamic Cultural History) subject is somewhat shunned by most students. They viewed that SKI is a subject in the form of a set of "texts on history" which are more text-written so that they are considered boring, moreover the teacher's delivery still uses the traditional lecturing method. As a mover, the teacher should take steps to change in the classroom, including: [a] the teacher provides stimulation so that it does not dominate the teaching style; [b] students need to be given a wide space in the realm of creativity, so that they have the opportunity to think critically; [c] just as the government has made regulations on how the nation's generation can be more active, critical, and innovative in learning, educators are making efforts on how students are able to dominate the class; [d] one of the developments in the media domain is the use of Google tools. Google Sites is a tool for creating websites for teams, projects, events or other purposes. Through the use of Google Sites, the school community is designed to be able to present teaching materials, especially the SKI subject, in the form of more varied characteristics. The steps for using Google media include: [1] preparation before students access the Google Site; [2] activities while students access the Google Site. How to create Google Sites as stated in the Google guide. The Google Site provides teaching materials, and features that make learning effective. Abstract

Urgensitas pemahaman terhadap makna dalam sebuah ujaran begitu sangat terasa, baik pada skala teks maupun konteks. Sebab, sejatinya amanat dalam proses komunikasi harus terterjamahkan secara utuh (كافة), baik pada sisi bentuk (مبنى) maupun dalam dimensi isi (معنى), sehingga tujuan dan pesan dalam tuturan penutur kepada mitra tutur dapat tersampaikan. Hanya saja, penelusuruan makna ini tidak cukup cuma diraba lewat kajian semiotik, dan sintaksis belaka, namun harus beranjak lebih lebar kepada studi semantik, dan pragmatik atau dalam konteks bahasa Arab bukan saja gramatika Arab, dan morfologi Arab, tetapi harus lebih bergeser kepada kajian ma’āni. Salah satu hal nyata dalam struktur bahasa yang memerlukan analisa konteks di luar bentuk kebahasaan adalah gejala deiksis. Memahami acuan dalam deiksis dengan pendekatan gramatikalisasi unsur-unsur (feature) dari konteks ujaran (contex of uttereance) atau peristiwa tutur (speech event) merupakan langkah yang wajib niscaya. Makanya, perolehan refren deiksis sangat bergantung terhadap kepiawaian dan tingkat sensitifitas seseorang menangkap konteks yang melingkupi ujaran yang diucapkan. Pada tataran inilah, kajian semantik-pragmatik atau ma’āni (dalam bahasa Arab) dalam konteks eksplorasi makna pada deiksis menjadi bagian yang tidak boleh dipandang sebelah mata.  Kata kunci: makna, semantik-pragmatik, ma’āni, deiksis.

Abstract

The discussion of the contents of the Qur'an surah Al-'Alaq verses 1 to 5 relating to Islamic education provides a clear picture of several things, among others: First, the core explanation in the surah Al-'Alaq provides information concerning the issue of divine knowledge, nature and humans. Second, in general, the content of educational values in the sura is a reflection of the understanding, goals, methods and basis of education. In this surah there is also a very basic relationship between aqidah (tauhid), and human (intellectual) skills which accumulate in the words iqra’ and ism rabbik. Implicitly, these two words reflect the existence of an important pillar in education which should be the foundation for every human being when seeking knowledge or even for the management of educational institutions. The word iqra’ is a symbol of activity processes that lead to ways to improve the mind intelligence of the mind and to develop the potential of human beings. Through the word iqra’ in this surah, Allah SWT is reminding everyone that the potential in the form of reason that has been given needs to be empowered. One of the most important educational values contained in these verses is a sign of the importance of reading, and information about the birth of new knowledge that has not been known before with such reading activities. While the word ism rabbik in this surah teaches the value of character education (khuluqiyah), so that the process of fostering, planting, and teaching that is done by humans is based on the belief in the manifestation of God Almighty. That way, all kinds of dynamics in the realm of education, including problems involving success or failure, are always repatriated to the will of Allah SWT and His power, so that the problems that arise do not cause anxiety, let alone despair.

Abstract

Marriage is the gate of life that is usually passed by mankind in carrying out life as husband and wife. Allah SWT create something with pairs, male and female, male and female (of animals), day and night, and so on. The Siri marriage still occur nowadays. In fact, unregistered marriage such as Siri marriage could create disadvantage influence on women and their children. The siri marriage, or known by 'married under the hands', 'kawin siri' or 'nikah siri', is a marriage that is carried out based on religious rules or customs, but it is not registered in the official marriage affair (KUA).. Even though it is legal according to religion, marriage under the hand or the Siri marriage has no legal protection from the law affairs. So that, Indonesia official law cannot provide legal protection for women and their children when they have any marriage issue. Moreover, if the marriage issue would affects women and children’s psychological problems. Keywords: The Siri marriage, legal consequences, psychological impact.

Abstract

The existence of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia is quite familiar to Indonesian citizens. The special characteristics of Islamic boarding schools are the curriculum that is focused on religious sciences integrally, for example Arabic syntax, Arabic morphology, Islamic law, Islamic jurisprudence system, Hadith, interpretation of Al-Qur'an, Islamic theology, Sufism, and rhetoric. The pesantren education system often characterized: [a] the use of traditional system, [b] the spirit of democracy, [c] A system that prioritizes simplicity, and [e] A system that does not suffer from symbolic disease. There are several traditions of santri which can be identified as social values, such as [a] Volunteering (sincere) and serving (khidmah), [b] Wise, [c] Simplicity, [d] Collective, [e] Organizing joint activities, [f] Guided freedom, [g] Independent, and [h] Make boarding schools a place to gain knowledge and dedication. The internalization of modernization (reorientation) of education in pesantren cannot be separated from the supporting and challenging factors. However, as a moderate Islamic education system, pesantren must take the following steps: [a] advancing the educational paradigm, [b] Islamic education being developed towards an ideological-sociological perspective, [c] Restore the basic curriculum framework and map out the basics of discussion, and [d] interpreting according to social reality.

Abstract

Contextualization is an indisputable fact that can be proven by the existence of religion in each historical period through a dialogical phenomenon between religion and the environment in which religion exists. In fact, the dialogue between religion and the environment sharpens its function and clarifies the significance of its presence among the people, so that religion is truly believed to be the solution to every problem and problem of the general public because religion is brought in a flexible form. Through the two starting points of the above approaches (two anchor approaches), they break what they are touting about assumptions without being based on argumentative evidence.

Abstract

The basis of this discussion is attempted to be more comprehensive by basing it on two things that are considered quite basic, namely: First, traced from the concepts of mosques in the perspective of classical books (kutub al-turats). This is attempted through content analysis of the scattered yellow book texts in various fiqh studies. Second, examined from the perspective of the socio-religious traditions of Indonesian society. From the perspective of terminological discussion (ishthilahi), the building used as a place for congregational prayer in the texts of the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and books of fiqh only knows the name "Mosque", whether it is used for Friday prayers or not, in large or small forms, and not "Langgar, Surau, Mushalla". The explanation of the Qur'an regarding the reward of those who are building a mosque (QS. al-Baqarah: 187). From a sociological perspective and the actualization of the narrative of the texts in the books can be found in the socio-religious reality of Arab society in the Middle East. In addition to the grand mosque, in the Arab Emirates there are many buildings resembling mosques that are used for congregational prayers, i'tikaf and other worship besides Friday prayers. For example, the Abi Bakar Mosque, and the Ali ibn Abi Thalib Mosque. Although it seems controversial, the discourse that has developed among fiqh activists regarding the phenomenon of mosques and “Langgar, Surau, Mushalla” is divided into two. The first party is of the view that mosques and “Langgar, Surau, Mushalla” are not polarized in essence and function, even though their names are not the same. Meanwhile, the second party makes a dichotomous line between mosques and “Langgar, Surau, Mushalla”. For this party, a mosque is still a mosque, while “Langgar, Surau, Mushalla” is not a mosque. Two names for two different things and cannot be equated. Key words: fikih; musala; langgar; Islam; mosque
