Abstract

The increasing use of traditional medicinein the country has encouraged an increase in Micro and Small Enterprises(MSMEs)engaged in traditional medicine, including Micro Traditional Medicine Enterprises (UMOT) and Small Traditional Medicine Enterprises (UKOT) which have begun to emerge in society. Based on survey, there are 11 MSMEs that produce essential oils for traditional medicine and only 27,3% od MSMEs meet the Good Manufacturing Practices for Traditional Medicine (CPOTB) stage 1. One of the obligation that must be fulfilled by UMOT or UKOT in distributing the traditional medicine they produce is to have a distribution permit number for the medicine. In managing adistribution permit for traditional medicine, business actors must meet severat requirments and go through several stages explained in this article. It is estimated that business actors, both UMOT and UKOT, find it easier to manage a distribution permit for traditional medicine.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and information technology that continues to develop, the world of education must be able to adapt to various changes. One very important aspect of the world of education is the use of learning media. This study aims to determine whether the development of learning media in the form of comics based on scientific literacy and students' conceptual understanding developed in this study is suitable for use in the learning process at SMP Negeri 4 Halmahera Tengah through the reading literacy program and to determine whether learning media in the form of comics can improve scientific literacy and students' conceptual understanding at SMP Negeri 4 Halmahera Tengah through the reading literacy program. This research is a type of development research (Research and Development). The data collection technique used in this study is to use five stages, namely the Define Stage, Development Stage, Interview, Observation, and Response Questionnaire. The study's data sources are divided into two parts, namely qualitative and quantitative data. Data analysis techniques in the study used the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, T-Test, and N-Gain Test. The study results showed that: 1) Regarding validity, the total percentage of the average value of media and material experts was 96%, categorized as "Very Valid." 2) Practicality is obtained by the total average percentage value of small-scale student responses, resulting in a score of 96%, which is categorized as "Very Practical." 3) Effectiveness is obtained from the T-test with Sig. 0.000, where <0.05 indicates a difference in students' scientific literacy and conceptual understanding before and after using comic media on the material of plant and animal reproductive systems. The N-Gain test obtained an average percentage score of 0.65, categorized as "Moderate." Based on these three results, it can be concluded that the development of comic media to improve scientific literacy and conceptual understanding of junior high school students in Central Halmahera Regency through the reading literacy program can be said to be feasible to be used to improve scientific literacy and conceptual understanding.

Abstract

E-module is an electronic teaching material resulting from the development of technology and information to help the learning process in schools so that students can learn independently with guidance from teachers at school or independently at home. This study aims to develop an E-module based on the SSI Team Base Project and test the feasibility of the E-module development product. R D research using the ADDIE development model. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the e-module for environmental change based on a team based project integrated with socio scientific issues (ssi) has an average value from the media expert validator of 94% while the average value from the material expert validator is 97% Very feasible category. 2) The results of student and teacher responses have an average percentage value of 93.21% in the Good category. 3) Comparison of the results of the pretest and posttest of students in a limited scale test on 34 students, it is known that the average pretest is 64.58, and the average posttest value is 86.35. In general, the e-module that has been developed meets the criteria of being very feasible and very practical so that the e-module product can be used as a reference for critical thinking skills at SMA Negeri 2 Kota Ternate.

Abstract

Sanana Honey is a local brand, a type of honey produced by forest bees which is well known in the Sula Islands, North Maluku. The forest bees of the Sula Islands have the potential to be developed as a producer of quality honey. At this time there has been no scientific report regarding the types and characteristics of the forest bee species from the Sula Islands. This study aims to identify the types of honey-producing forest bees by applying the LCO gene DNA barcode. The methods used in this study used: 1) DNA extraction from bee body tissues using the DNA Miniprep Kit procedure (Zymo Research, D6016); 2). DNA amplification by PCR amplification procedure with TOYOBO KOD FX Neo (KFX-201); 3) bidirectional DNA sequencing process (Bi-directional sequencing). The results showed that the specimen was successfully amplified with an amplicon size of 677 bp. Furthermore, the results of BLASTN analysis revealed that the sequence has a 97.78% similarity with the Apis cerana mitochondria complete genome gene country of Russia, but is phylogenetically different between the two.

Abstract

Abstract

Ornithoptera sp in Bacan Island is an endemic butterfly. Ornithoptera croesus in Bacan Island empirically has a variety of morphological characters. The purpose of this study was to determine the dissimilarity of specific characteristics of O. croesus based on morphometric analysis on environmental factors, especially elevation gradients. Data from morphometric character measurements were analyzed using UPGMA cluster analysis. The results showed that the intraspecific dissimilarity of O. croesus on elevation gradients in the Sibela Mountains Nature Reserve area, Bacan Island, was in the low category. Elevation gradients were not the main factor in determining intraspecific dissimilarity. Migration factors and the availability of food plants that determine the pattern of O. croesus, can be seen from the highest similarity value in the dendogram found in O. croesus ♀ 800 masl with O. croesus ♀ 20 masl. Migration factors and the availability of food crops cause the grouping pattern to be inconsistent with the results of the biplot analysis of environmental factor data which groups lowlands and midlands in one cluster
