Abstract

Abstract : Research on the application of cooperative learning strategy word square has been done to know the improvement student’s achievement on the topic of compound’s chemical nomenclatur in class X MIA SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. This from of research is quasi-experiment research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class X MIA 4 as the experimental class and homogeneity test. Experiment class that ware subjected of cooperative learning strategy word square, while the control class is a class that untreated cooperative learning strategy word square . Based on the results obtained tvalue final calculation is 3,36 greater than ttable is 1,66. It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning strategy word square to improve student’s achievement on the subject of compound’ chemical nomenclatur in class X MIA SMAN 4 PekanbaruKeyword: Cooperative Learning, Word Square, Learning Achievement, chemical nomenclatur

Abstract

The development of this LKPD aims to develop LKPD based on the type of cooperative learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) which is valid based on validator assessments and practical based on user response tests, namely teachers and students. A valid assessment is based on 5 aspects of feasibility, namely the feasibility of the content, the feasibility of the characteristics of the TPS learning model, the feasibility of language, the feasibility of presentation and the feasibility of graphics. This research uses the type of development research (R&D) with 4D stages and is only carried out until the development stage of limited trials. The assessment instruments used were the validation sheet and the user practicality test questionnaire. Assessment of the user practicality test questionnaire was given to 2 teachers and 20 students from SMAN 1 Pekanbaru and SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. The results of the LKPD validation were declared valid with scores on the aspects of content feasibility, TPS model characteristics, language, presentation and graphic of 95.83%, 95%, 89.58%, 91.67% and 95.83%, respectively. While the results of the user practicality test were declared practical by obtaining an average score percentage of 92% by teachers with very good criteria and 88.03% by students with very good criteria. Abstract

Misconceptions in learning chemical equilibrium remain a persistent challenge that can hinder students' understanding and academic confidence. Despite various efforts to improve conceptual mastery, many students still harbor incorrect notions that affect their learning outcomes and self-belief. To address this issue, this study explores the relationship between students' misconceptions and their self-efficacy regarding chemical equilibrium concepts. The research employed a research and development approach using the ADDIE model, utilizing an Android-based five-tier multiple choice test as a diagnostic instrument. A random sampling technique was applied to select three senior high schools in Pekanbaru: SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, SMAN Olahraga Provinsi Riau, and SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. A correlation test was conducted to determine the presence, direction, and strength of the relationship between students' misconceptions and their self-efficacy. The results revealed a positive correlation between the two variables across schools with high, medium, and low academic profiles

Abstract

Low science literacy in students will have an impact on students' ability to solve problems. To improve it, it is necessary to develop an assessment instrument in the form of a science literacy instrument. This study aims to develop valid, reliable problem solving and science literacy assessment instruments for students. The material chosen is ion equilibrium in salt solution. The research was conducted in high, medium and low ability schools namely SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru and SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. There are 16 questions out of 20 questions that are constructively valid with a correlation value> 0.36. The questions developed have met the reliability requirements with a Cronbach alpha coefficient value greater than 0.6, reaching a value of 0.874. The level of difficulty of questions between 0.3 -0.7 is in the good enough category and differentiating power ≥ 0.3. Based on two trials, namely one-on-one trials and limited trials, the same results were obtained that the assessment instruments developed for students had very good readability aspects (85%), good adequacy aspects (64%) and assessment instruments developed for teachers had very good feasibility aspects (91%). There is a significant difference in the ability of students in high schools with medium and low ability schools.
