Abstract

Adolescence is a vulnerable period to reproductive health problems, especially regarding issues of sexuality. Healthy adolescent behavior is needed to achieve the SDGs targets by 2030. This study aimed to analyze personal factors such as attitudes, perceptions, and self-efficacy, as well as environmental factors like family, school, friends, community, and social media's role in adolescent reproductive health behavior and health promotion models. This quantitative analysis was conducted using the survey method with 326 respondents at 32 senior high schools, involving 159 male and 167 female adolescents, as samples taken through a multistage random sampling technique. This study used a questionnaire that was pre-tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that adolescent perceptions, attitudes, self-efficacy, and the role of parents and social media positively influenced reproductive health behavior. The role of parents is the most influential variable among female adolescents. Social media directly affects male adolescents' behavior and indirectly influences female adolescents. This study recommends integrating social media campaigns with parental involvement to enhance reproductive health literacy. Moreover, health interventions should be sex-specific and consider different ways through which social media influence adolescents.

Abstract

The suitability of a product's perceived value to consumers’ needs determines the success of offerings. Food safety labels as product attributes have not yet become a concern for most consumers. This research analyzed consumer attention to NKV certification and perceptions of choosing NKV-certified livestock food products regarding demographic profiles. This research was conducted using a survey and data collection was carried out online via social media between June and August 2023. Respondents were determined using a purposive sampling method with the criteria that they had ever shopped for processed livestock products in the last month and were over 18 years old. A total of 210 data were collected and analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and non-parametric Chi-Square. The results showed that behavior regarding NKV certification is positively related to age, education level, and income variables but not to gender. Further analysis showed that the perception of purchasing NKV products is wise and a first choice is greater in groups with older age and higher education levels. Furthermore, the perception of this purchase has the potential to occur in the group of respondents with an income of at least IDR 1,500,000. Furthermore, NKV has not been considered by all respondents, only 14.28% of respondents thought NKV was an important attribute. This study concluded that demographic variables such as age, education level, and income should be deliberated in profiling the market segment for NKV-certified livestock food products. Behavior to purchase NKV products increases in older age groups, higher levels of education, and income.

Abstract

This study examines the adaptation of the Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) organization to the dynamic social connectivity of its environment. Utilizing a qualitative approach and digital ethnography, the research analyzes the organization's responses, interpenetration, and adaptation strategies. Findings indicate that JFC demonstrates responsiveness through innovative carnival themes and diverse communication channels. However, limitations arise from programmatic constraints and individual influences within the organization. Furthermore, JFC's interpenetration into various societal sectors, including education, economy, and culture, shapes its policies and decisions. This adaptation manifests in the evolution of fashion design, event concepts, and community-inclusive management. This research contributes to understanding organizational adaptation within a rapidly changing socio-cultural context, highlighting the interplay between organizational systems and their environment. Employing Niklas Luhmann's social systems theory, specifically the concept of autopoiesis, this study offers a unique perspective on how JFC, as an organizational system, maintains its identity while adapting to its surroundings. The results provide valuable insights for the field of development communication and challenge traditional approaches that focus on internal organizational factors by emphasizing the importance of external factors in shaping organizational behavior.
