Abstract

Christian education aims to enable students to take part in serving God and others both now and forever. The barriers to learning mathematics make it difficult for students to achieve the goals of Christian education. In some cases, students are found to have barriers to learning mathematics. Based on this problem, the researchers wanted to know the types of barriers to learning mathematics, the causes, and the responses of teachers, schools, and students to these barriers. This study used the case study method of a qualitative approach and the subjects were grade 8 students. The data collection techniques used were interviews for mathematics teachers and principals as well as open-ended questionnaires for students. The results revealed that there were barriers to learning mathematics that can be categorized into internal and external factors including a lack of learning willingness on the part of the students, inappropriate views of mathematics, uncontrolled classroom conditions, and the contagion of the environment. The responses given by teachers, schools, and students about mathematics learning barriers include reviewing, giving additional lessons, and relearning either individually or through others. Suggestions for teachers and principals are to organize workshops related to mathematics learning barriers and improving teaching quality.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Pendidikan Kristen bertujuan membuat para siswa dapat mengambil bagian pelayanan kepada Tuhan dan sesama baik sekarang maupun selamanya. Dengan adanya hambatan belajar matematika menyebabkan siswa sulit mencapai tujuan dari pendidikan Kristen. Dalam beberapa kesempatan, sering ditemukan siswa yang memiliki hambatan belajar matematika. Untuk itu peneliti ingin mengetahui macam hambatan belajar matematika, penyebabnya, serta respon guru, sekolah dan siswa terkait dengan hambatan belajar matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara terhadap guru matematika dan kepala sekolah serta kuisioner terbuka bagi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hambatan belajar matematika yang dapat dikategorikan ke dalam faktor internal dan eksternal, diantaranya siswa malas belajar, pandangan yang kurang tepat terhadap pelajaran matematika, kondisi kelas yang tidak kondusif dan pengaruh yang buruk dari lingkungan sekitar. Respon yang diberikan guru, sekolah dan siswa terhadap hambatan belajar matematika diantaranya menjelaskan kembali materi, memberikan pelajaran tambahan dan belajar kembali secara individu maupun melalui orang lain. Saran bagi guru dan kepala sekolah adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan terkait dengan hambatan belajar matematika serta meningkatkan kualitas mengajar.

Abstract

The study in this study aims to examine in outline the extent to which enthusiasts for the development of digital business science at a high education level, it is known that the development of the era of industrial digitalization 4.0 has explored the world of international marketing, this is seen from the advancement of digitalization technology that has developed in a modern and sustainable manner both in the digital economy, Internet economy, Web economy, digital-based economy, new economy knowledge and innovation economy. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research while to obtain the results of this research, in depth and for the benefit of proving about TL community enthusiasts regarding the development plan of the digital business department at IPJB Dili, the data collection techniques used in this study, in the form of; In-depth interviews, filling out questionnaires and questionnaires online and offline, direct observation in the field, document analysis and focus group discussion.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the interest of Timorese people in the development of digital business knowledge at the higher education level, especially in facing the digitalization era of industry 4.0 which has affected global marketing. The development of digital technology, such as the digital economy, internet economy, and knowledge-based innovation, is an important foundation in this study. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, online and offline questionnaires, field observations, document analysis, and focus group discussions (FGDs). Data was collected to prove the community's interest in the plan to open a Digital Business major at Instituto Profissional Sao Joao Batista (IPJB) Dili. The results showed that of the 387 respondents interviewed and observed in 14 districts, including the Oecusse region, the majority (57.4% or 222 respondents) approved of the opening of the major, while only 0.5% (2 respondents) disagreed. Respondents also showed a good understanding of the internet and digital marketing, with dominant use of the internet for activities such as online shopping, online sales, and academic and personnel needs. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the implementation of digital business is essential to improve the quality of human resources and support the growth of a modern economy in the industrial era 4.0, especially for the younger generation in the future.
