Nowadays, Indonesia still faces various problems related to the moral issues. Many cases occur in the society which should be solved by the educators, such as: corruption, collusion, and nepotism in all level of Indonesian governmental institutions, juvenile delinquency, and drugs.Â To prevent those, the Indonesian government through education minister in 2010 established the 18 values of characters building. At school, this character building becomes the pivotal role in developing the characters of the students. This paper tries to describe how the teaching of Arabic done by implementing the values of the character building. The character building at SD Muhammadiyah Kleco is done by centralizing the role of teachers. The role of teachers in building the moral characters of the students is done by applying the principle role as teacher, such as: catalyst, row model, inspirer, motivator, dynamist, and evaluator. The teaching of Arabic skills,-listening (istima'), speaking (kalam), reading (qiro'ah), and writing (kitabah)-, is done by implementing the moral character such as: religiosity, honesty, tolerance, independency, democratic, curiosity, friendship, social awareness, responsibility, discipline, environmental care, and appreciation.

Purpose – This qualitative study investigates the pivotal role of parents in the internalization of Islamic moderation values in child development, as well as the determinants of parental behavior, knowledge, and practices. Additionally, the research identifies implications for further studies and practical applications. Design/methodology/approach – The phenomenological methodology is employed to comprehend and describe these phenomena, delving into the essence of parents' experiences. Findings – The results demonstrate that parents are responsible for shaping children's behavior and instilling Islamic moderation values. Factors such as parental experience and education, profound understanding, quality aspects, and parenting methods by exemplary parents serve as determinants of parental behavior, knowledge, and practices in incorporating Islamic moderation values in child development. Overall, the findings suggest that among all modifiable factors influencing a child's development, the quality of care children receive is of utmost importance, warranting further academic investigation. Research implications/limitations – The study emphasizes the role of parents in the internalization of Islamic moderation values; however, it does not examine the long-term effects of such internalization on children's overall development and well-being. Practical implications – This research offers valuable insights for practitioners, highlighting that parenting, when carried out effectively, can be a highly fulfilling role, bringing immense joy, pride, and happiness to a parent's life.

International NGO Forum on Indonesian Development (INFID) dalam surveinya tentang persepsi dan sikap generasi muda terhadap radikalisme dan ekstrimisme kekerasan, menyatakan bahwa peran orang tua sangat penting dalam Pendidikan agama. Orang tua atau keluarga mempunyai peranan yang amat penting dalam mempengaruhi pendidikan anaknya. Di keluarga orang tua tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan dalam aspek kognitif, melainkan juga aspek psikomotorik dan afektif. Pendidikan keluarga ranah yang paling efektif untuk mendidik anak dan menyalurkan ide dan gagasan terlebih soal keagamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara pendidikan keluarga dengan penanaman nilai-nilai pluralism serta menjelaskan potret pendidikan keluarga di Kalipuru.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Keluarga, Nilai-nilai Pluralisme, Dukuh Kaliparu

This study aims to determine whether Duolingo application effectively increases students’ interest and how much it increases student’s interest in Arabic learning. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods (one group pretest posttest design), and the population was class IX students of MTs Al Riyadhul Jannah. The sample in this study were students of class IX C, totaling 21 students using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data hypothesis testing was carried out through paired sample t-test and N gain test. The results showed a significance value of 0,003 < 0,05 that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, also the N gain percent value was 26,8198. So, Duolingo application is effective in increasing students’ interest in Arabic language learning and there is an increase in interest by 26,82%. The main contribution in this study is to apply new teaching media based on online games that are expected to increase students’ interest in Arabic learning.

Purpose – This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Jogja Madrasah Digital (JMD) in the Arabic Language End-of-Year Summative Assessment (ASAT) at MTsN 10 Sleman, students’ perceptions, and the advantages and challenges encountered during the assessment process. Design/methods/approach – This study employed a mixed methods approach with a convergent design and a case study framework. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires involving one Arabic language teacher and 30 students from grades VII B and VIII B. Qualitative data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, while quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings – JMD was used as the main platform for conducting the Arabic Language ASAT, covering assessment preparation, implementation, and supervision. Students demonstrated positive perceptions, with an average perception score of 81.7%. JMD was perceived as practical, accessible, and supportive of paperless assessment. However, several challenges were identified, including unstable internet connectivity, login difficulties, limitations in displaying Arabic text and fonts, and rigid scoring mechanisms for essay questions. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of JMD depends not only on the availability of technology but also on the suitability of its features for the characteristics of Arabic and the requirements of language assessment. Research implications/limitations – Optimizing JMD requires stronger infrastructure, improved Arabic text display, more reliable access and navigation, and more flexible assessment and scoring features. The study was limited to one madrasah, one teacher, and 30 students; therefore, its findings are contextual and are not intended for statistical generalization. Originality/value – This study provides a context-specific empirical perspective by examining JMD not merely as a technological platform but as an assessment environment for Arabic language learning. Its originality lies in connecting students’ perceptions and experiences with the technical, linguistic, and pedagogical dimensions of digital Arabic language assessment.

The discussion in this article aims to find out whether the development of learning media ta'bīr based on games Uno Stacko can improve learning outcomes of the eleventh-grade male science students in Madrasah Aliyah Ibnul Qoyyim. This research is included in the research and development research category which develops learning media ta'bīr based on the game Uno Stacko. Due to time constraints in the study, the research scope is limited to the aforementioned location. The results of the research in this article show: 1) the creation of the Arabic uno stacko game in ta‘bīr subject for the eleventh grade students at the Islamic high school. 2) the test results for the acceptance of the Uno Stacko is very positive, due to an increase in student learning outcomes. 3) there are some improvements from the experts who make the game Arabic Uno Stacko to meet the quality and standards of a good game.
