Abstract

The changes in the national curriculum in Indonesia have been regular since the independence. It is an action taken to improve the quality of education given the demands of both era and society as well as a preparation of more competitive outcomes. This study concerns teachers' perceptions of the current curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka). It is important to see how it is going in the practical field, particularly in teaching English in primary schools. This study employed a case study design where Six English teachers from six different schools in Kuningan, West Java, Indonesia took part as participants in the current study. They were interviewed in two modes, onsite and online, to share their views regarding the Merdeka curriculum implementation. The data from the interviews were analyzed through qualitative analysis. The result shows that both schools and policymakers have done several aspects regarding the implementation. Meanwhile, along with its implementation, the challenges exist including time allotment, students’ proficiency, and students' motivation, Therefore, the findings should be taken seriously, to improve the quality of teaching English at the primary level.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the activities of Market Day in fostering entrepreneurial spirit among fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Gunungkeling using the one group pretest-posttest method. The population in this study comprises all students of SDN 1 Gunungkeling. The sample consists of 30 students selected using simple random sampling. Before the implementation of Market Day, students were given an entrepreneurial spirit questionnaire to measure their level of entrepreneurship. After the activity, students were given the same entrepreneurial spirit questionnaire to evaluate changes. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 27. Prior to conducting the t-test, the data underwent preliminary assessments to ascertain its suitability for the test, specifically normality and homogeneity tests. After the prerequisite tests, the data were analyzed using the paired-samples T-test. This result indicate a statistically significant impact on students’ entrepreneurial spirit of students after participating in the Market Day activity. This activity not only introduces basic entrepreneurial concepts such as planning, production, marketing, and sales but also develops students' soft skills, including teamwork, communication, creativity, and decision-making abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dampak penerapan model RADEC berbantuan media interaktif wordwall terhadap kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SD Negeri Sindangagung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif berdasarkan model Nonequivalent Control Group Design dari model Quasi E xperiment al Design . Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran untuk guru dan siswa serta soal pre-test dan post-test sebanyak 10 soal deskriptif untuk menilai kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini mencakup semua siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sindangagung tahun ajaran 2023-2024 yang berjumlah 61 siswa, dengan sampel 31 siswa dari kelas VA sebagai kelompok kontrol dan 30 siswa dari kelas VB sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Penelitian dan analisis data menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut: (1) observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada guru dan siswa terlaksana dengan sangat baik. Dilihat dari hasil rata-rata total pada guru yang memperoleh 94,16 dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada siswa memperoleh 97,83. (2) Pembelajaran dengan model RADEC berbantuan media interaktif wordwall berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa. Hal ini dilihat dengan diperolehnya hasil Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 maka H1 diterima. Ini berarti bantuan bahwa penggunaan model RADEC dengan media interaktif wordwall berpengaruh positif pada kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Sindangagung. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperbaiki kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa selama proses pembelajaran, terutama pada mata pelajaran IPAS.Kata kunci : Model RADEC; Media Wordwall; Bernalar Kritis; IPAS; Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan mengemabngkan multimedia TAVAGIS sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan Prezi kurikulum 2013 bagi guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Kuningan. Kegiatan ini terlaksana untuk mengatasi permsalahan guru mengenai kurangnya penguasaan IT dalam pembelajaran kurikulum 2013. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu: 1) perencanaan yang meliputi survei mitra, lisensi pelatihan, penyusunan modul pelatihan, persiapan pelatihan dan koordinasi,serta  sosialisasi program, 2) pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM yang meliputi pelatihan pembuatan multimedia TAVAGIS berbasis Prezi serta pendampingan penggunaan multimedia yang telah dibuat, 3) evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan mengembangkan multimedia TAVAGIS kurikulum 2013 pada guru sekolah dasar sebelum menggunakan Prezi memperoleh prosentase skor sebesar 53,74% dalam kategori cukup dan sesudah menggunakan Prezi memperoleh prosentase skor sebesar 89,52% dalam kategori sangat baik. Data tersebut menyatakan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan mengembangkan multimedia TAVAGIS kurikulum 2013 pada guru sekolah dasar sebesar 35,78%.Kata kunci: keterampilan; multimedia; TAVAGIS; prezi; Sekolah DasarUse of Prezi to Improve Skills in Developing 2013 TAVAGIS Multimedia Curriculum for Elementary School TeachersABSTRACTThis activity aims to find out the improvement of TAVAGIS multimedia skills before and after using the 2013 Prezi curriculum for elementary school teachers in Kuningan District. This activity was carried out to overcome the teacher's problem regarding the lack of mastery of IT in 2013 curriculum learning. The method of implementing this activity consisted of several stages, namely: 1) planning which included a survey of partners, training licenses, preparation of training modules, preparation of training and coordination, and program socialization, 2) the implementation of PKM activities which include training on making TAVAGIS multimedia based on Prezi as well as assisting the use of multimedia that has been made; 3) evaluation and follow-up. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the skills of developing 2013 TAVAGIS multimedia curriculum in elementary school teachers before using Prezi obtained a percentage score of 53.74% in the sufficient category and after using Prezi obtained a percentage score of 89.52% in the very good category. The data states that there is an increase in skills in developing 2013 TAVAGIS multimedia curriculum for elementary school teachers by 35.78%.Keywords: skills; multimedia; TAVAGIS; prezi; Elementary School

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the importance of developing students' critical thinking skills in learning Indonesian, especially in the 21st-century education era which demands good thinking skills from students. Aim: The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of using storytelling dice media on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Cimara. Method: The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and Nonequivalent Control Group Design, involving 39 students selected through purposive sampling. Fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Cimara were used as the experimental class using storytelling dice media, while fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Sukarapih served as the control class without the media. Data were collected through observations and tests (pre-test and post-test) to measure students' critical thinking skills. Result and Discussions: The results of the analysis showed that the pre-test scores of the experimental class were normally distributed, while those of the control class were not. The homogeneity test showed homogeneous variance. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney U test indicated no influence of storytelling dice media on the pre-test, but a significant influence on the post-test. The average post-test score of the experimental class (87. 81) was higher than that of the control class (60. 22), indicating that storytelling dice media is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The discussion of the research results emphasizes that the use of storytelling dice media can increase student engagement and interest in learning Indonesian, and address the problems of traditional one-way teaching methods. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that storytelling dice media is an effective tool for enhancing students' critical thinking skills, and further exploration of innovative teaching methods is needed to improve educational outcomes.
