Abstract

Abstract: The condition of poverty and injustice that is felt, especially Muslims, will cause sustainable problems, it needs strategic and relevant efforts to unravel the deterioration through da'wah activities. That preaching is not just to spread religion and call for truth. Rather it's about how we can see what we can do for our surroundings. This study aims to know and analyze the potential, role and opportunities of Islamic philanthropy to alleviate poverty and injustice. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive-analytical approach. Data obtained from extracting information through interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the study explained that open transformative da'wah on the problems of poverty and injustice that occur in the community needs to be parsed through Islamic Da'wah. Islamic philanthropy is a manifestation of our love and care as fellow human beings elevates ethical values. The agenda of Islamic Da'wah through zakat, infaq, Sadaqah, and waqaf should be able to parse domestic issues. Effective communication channels, propaganda delivered on target, as well as support from government institutions and institutions, the implementation of Islamic philanthropy relies on solutions to address the problems of poverty and injustice in Indonesia.Keywords: Transformative Da'wah; Injustice; Poverty; Islamic Philanthropy. Abstrak: Kondisi kemiskinan dan ketidakadilan yang dirasakan khususnya umat Islam akan menimbulkan problematika berkelanjutan, maka perlu upaya strategis dan relevan mengurai keterpurukan melalui aktivitas dakwah. Bahwa dakwah bukan sekedar untuk menyebarkan agama dan menyerukan kebenaran. Melainkan dakwah itu tentang bagaimana kita dapat melihat apa yang bisa kita lakukan untuk sekitar kita. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan menganalisis potensi, peran dan peluang filantropi Islam mengentaskan kemiskinan dan ketidakadilan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Data diperoleh dari penggalian informasi melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan dakwah transformatif yang terbuka mengenai permasalahan kemiskinan dan ketidakadilan yang terjadi di masyarakat perlu diurai melalui dakwah Islam. Filantropi Islam merupakan wujud cinta dan peduli kita sebagai sesama manusia mengangkat nilai etis. Agenda dakwah Islam melalui zakat, infaq, shadaqah, dan waqaf hendaknya mampu mengurai persoalan domestik. Saluran komunikasi yang terjalin dengan efektif, dakwah yang disampaikan tepat sasaran, serta dukungan dari lembaga dan institusi pemerintahan, implementasi filantropi Islam menyandarkan pada solusi untuk menangani masalah kemiskinan dan ketidakadilan di Indonesia.Kata Kunci: Dakwah Transformatif; Ketidakadilan; Kemiskinan; Filantropi Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the stages of community empowerment based on locality development in improving social welfare and the impact of its emergence through Goa Pancur tourism in Jimbaran Village, Kayen District, Pati Regency. Researchers propose two formulations of the problem, namely 1) How are the stages of community empowerment in improving social welfare in Goa Pancur tourism, Jimbaran Village, Kayen District, Pati Regency? 2) What are the economic, social, and environmental impacts of Gua Pancur Tourism Management and Development? This research method is descriptive qualitative with the type of Field Research. Data was acquired from primary sources: interviews with POKDARWIS, the village government, and the Jimbaran Village community. In contrast, secondary data were obtained from village profiles, tourism decree, activity photos, websites, and social media of Gua Pancur. Techniques in data collection are done by interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed 1) stages of community empowerment from before the management of tourism by POKDARWIS until now experiencing significant development this can be seen from the number of visitors to Gua Pancur tourism is increasing every year. 2) the impact of the existence of Gua Pancur tourism is very diverse; the existence of Gua Pancur tourism has an impact on improving the social welfare of the local community; this can be seen from the growing economy of the community from the existence of jobs and more business opportunities.

Abstract

This article will examines the implementation of partnerships between corporations and community groups through the CSR empowerment program of PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Pembangkitan Tanjung Jati B in Tubanan Village. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data source from field studies, observations, interviews and theoretical research studies that has been done and relevant to the problems raised. The research shows that there are two patterns in increasing community empowerment it’s by increasing human capacity and increasing environmental capacity. Through this paper, it will be very useful to understand how to empower communities through livestock groups and foster motivational empowerment for increasingly of social welfare.Artikel ini mengkaji tentang pelaksanaan kemitraan antara korporasi dengan kelompok masyarakat melalui program pemberdayaan CSR PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Pembangkitan Tanjung Jati B di Desa Tubanan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diambil dari studi lapangan, observasi, wawancara serta kajian teoritis dengan penelitian yang pernah dilakukan dan relevan dengan permasalahan yang dikemukakan. Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada dua pola dalam meningkatkan keberdayaan masyarakat, yaitu melalui peningkatan kapasitas manusia dan peningkatan kapasitas lingkungan. Melalui tulisan ini akan sangat berguna untuk memahami bagaimana cara memberdayakan komunitas melalui kelompok ternak dan menumbuhkan motivasi pemberdayaan bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial.

Abstract

The use of Narcotics, Alcohol, Psychotropic Substances, and Other Addictive Substances (NAPZA) has become a serious problem in various segments of society, including among students in Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to develop and analyze empowerment-based prevention strategies for NAPZA use at the Al-Isti'anah Boarding School in Pati Regency. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the leaders of the boarding school, teachers, and students. Additionally, participatory observation and document analysis were conducted to obtain a comprehensive overview of the context and dynamics within the boarding school. The results of the research indicate that Al-Isti'anah Boarding School has implemented various empowerment-based prevention strategies for NAPZA use. These strategies include the establishment of educational programs on the dangers of NAPZA, the development of social skills, the cultivation of religious and moral values, and the creation of an environment that supports and reinforces healthy lifestyle choices. Empowerment is achieved by actively involving all stakeholders, including leaders, teachers, students, and families. Various activities such as archery, wood carving, local food cultivation, and graphic design of calligraphy are conducted to divert specific concentrations on the negative impacts of NAPZA use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Public Relations (PR) practitioners in enhancing public services and institutional image for community empowerment at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data sources consist of primary data obtained through interviews with representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga and stakeholders related to PR, as well as secondary data derived from social media and the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and field documentation. The findings indicate that PR at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga plays a strategic role in improving public services, functioning as a communicator, relationship builder, backup management, and good image maker. PR strives to provide the best services with openness and transparency to build public trust in the institution. Additionally, the quality of public services directly contributes to shaping the institution’s image. The key components of image formation perception, cognition, motivation, and attitudes in service enable PR to enhance public satisfaction. Institutional image improvement is further reinforced by the implementation of the "Toleran" slogan (Terbaik, On-time, Lancar, Efektif, Ramah, Akuntabel, Nyaman), which serves as a guideline for service delivery. Thus, the communication strategies implemented by PR play a crucial role in fostering public trust and strengthening the positive image of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Salatiga.

Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the condition of the people of Semarang Regency in the pre and post-dawa period of KH. Mahfud Ridwan, as well as knowing the da'wah of KH. Mahfud Ridwan in developing inter-religious harmony in 1984-2015. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a historical approach. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. While the data validation technique in this study uses triangulation. The results showed that the condition of the district community before the preaching of KH. Mahfud Ridwan has started to be conducive and after his preaching he is getting better. KH. Mahfud Ridwan preached using the following methods: (1) Bil wisdom with a noble mind, wise, broad chested and a clean heart. The form of da'wah based on bil wisdom includes mobilizing the community through community and religious organizations including the NGO Desaku Maju Foundation, Gedangan Forum, FSUB and the SOBAT movement. Besides that, KH. Mahfud Ridwan also founded the Edi Mancoro Islamic Boarding School as an intermediary to spread benefits to the community by forming the character of students who have religious, national and community perspectives. (2) Bil mau'idzah hasanah by holding regular recitations, teaching in Islamic boarding schools and madrasas, cults and Islamic holidays. (3) Bil mujlah by holding discussion and dialogue activities that invite various interfaith figures.

Abstract

This article aims to explain fishers groups' strategy in facing the dry or western season in Bondo Village, Jepara Regency. For a month, the fishers do not go to sea because of the danger of big waves. Thus forcing the adaptation of the marine economic cycle to land or experiencing job subversion. On the other hand, the Covid-19 pandemic has increasingly suppressed community activities to limit themselves from leaving the house and comply with health protocols. If this condition is left without collaborative efforts by actors, it will create new low groups. Of course, this condition is not desired by all people, so cross-stakeholder collaboration is needed. The role of multi-stakeholders is crucial in supplying socio-economic flows that positively impact lifting the welfare minus group to empowerment. This article will discuss the strategies adopted by fishers groups to survive during the dry season accompanied by civil society opportunities to work, namely the Nahdlatul Ulama Sub-Branch to help prosper the community Bondo Village, Jepara Regency.

Abstract

Women’s empowerment in the Dotuman Angon livestock group through the theoretical framework of Naila Kabeer. The study is grounded in the understanding that empowerment is not solely an economic process but a transformation of power relations shaped by social and cultural structures. Using a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review and contextual analysis, this study explores how access to resources, decision-making capacity, and meaningful achievements are experienced by women within the livestock group. The findings indicate that while development programs may increase productivity and household assets, these outcomes do not necessarily translate into genuine empowerment for women when agency and control over decisions remain limited. The study highlights the importance of applying a multidimensional and gender sensitive approach in community empowerment programs to ensure that women are not merely beneficiaries of development initiatives, but active agents in shaping their own lives.
