Abstract

This paper aims to revive the discussion on river-based tourism, highlighting its implications for sustainable social development. It is based on an analysis of various studies that have shown a focus on new patterns and strategies for sustainable development in river-based tourism. However, little attention has been given to further exploring these sustainability tools through achieving harmony between human and natural elements. The study adopts a case study approach, focusing on Temulus Village in Indonesia. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and field documentation. The research findings demonstrate that prioritizing the segmentation of river-based tourism development as a key agenda in social development holds intrinsic value as a new tool in transforming rural communities. The research successfully uncovers the harmonious relationship between human interests and nature, thereby contributing to sustainable development through river tourism. Consequently, this study contributes to leveraging local resources for sustainable development, introducing new local indicators that can serve as valuable lessons for future village development.

Abstract

The article aims to analyze the internalization of religious moderation values in Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. This article is a qualitative study with a case study approach. The study focuses on three Pesantrens: Pesantren Sabilal Muhtadin in East Kotawaringin, Pesantren Hidayatul Insan in Palangka Raya City, and Pesantren Nahdatus Salam in Kapuas.  Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data collection was conducted from May to October 2024. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The data obtained shows that the internalization of religious moderation is rooted in the Pesantren tradition in Central Kalimantan and has been practiced before becoming a strategic program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2019. In this context, the experience of inter-ethnic conflict in 2001 was a background factor in consistently internalizing religious moderation. In addition, internalization is also carried out as a preventive effort from being exposed to extremist movements and intolerant ideology. Internalization efforts are carried out using various strategies that adapt to the socio-cultural setting of each pesantren.

Abstract

The memorization and understanding of the Qur'an play a vital role in shaping a Qur'anic generation. This study aims to explore the memorization patterns in the Tahfidz and Tarjamah Qur'an programs at Darul Hufadz Islamic Senior High School. Using a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation from 38 informants, including the principal, five mentor teachers, and 32 students. Data analysis followed a process of reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings indicate that the Tahfidzul Qur'an program follows a daily memorization pattern known as "One Day One Verse," where students memorize one verse and its translation each day. The program emphasizes regular recitation, memorization, comprehension, and the practical application of the Qur'an’s teachings, with parental oversight. Collaborative reading sessions between teachers and students, coupled with repetition—where verses are repeated over 40 times and listened to more than 60 times—reinforce the memorization process. This structured approach effectively cultivates a Qur'anic generation, ensuring deep engagement with the Qur'an. The study highlights the importance of consistent memorization routines and active teacher involvement in fostering both cognitive and spiritual development among students.

So that in schools there needs to be learning that contains materials based on local wisdom to prevent the loss of local wisdom from a region. This study aims to develop an e-module based on ethnoscience (local culture) for grade IX students of junior high schools/Islamic junior high schools and to determine the level of validity and practicality. The e-module developed uses the ethno-science method which consists of direct observation, explaining phenomena scientifically, and being able to draw conclusions. This research is a research and development (R&D) with the Plomp model. The validity test was conducted by 3 science lecturers from Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Negeri Padang, and the practicality test was conducted by 2 science teachers from State Junior High School 1 Painan and 3 IX.3 students, 4 IX.6 students and 20 IX.7 students at State Junior High School 1 Painan. The instruments used were validity and practicality questionnaires and data Cohen Kappa. This research produces an e-module of the human reproductive system based on ethnic with an average kappa moment of 0.90 which has a very high level of validity. The results of the teacher's practicality test and the student's practicality test obtained an average kappa moment of 0.76 and 0.81 respectively with high and very high levels of practicality.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of constructivist teaching strategies and analytical literacy on students' critical thinking skills among Islamic higher education students. A quantitative approach with an experimental research design was used, where data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring three variables: constructivist strategy, analytical literacy, and critical thinking. The sample comprised 60 students from the English Education Program at IAIN Curup, selected using total sampling from three classes during the even semester 2025. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that both constructivist strategy and analytical literacy significantly influenced critical thinking, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.538, indicating that these two variables could explain 53.8% of the variance in critical thinking. The F-test showed a significant joint effect (F = 33.142, p < 0.05), while the t-test indicated that analytical literacy had a stronger individual impact (t = 4.588, p < 0.05) compared to the constructivist strategy (t = 1.807, p = 0.076).
