Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-September 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui tingkat pendapatan dan efisiensi itik pedaging dan petelur, serta mengkaji faktor jumlah ternak, pakan ternak, pendidikan, curahan kerja, lama beternak dan pola pemeliharaan terhadap pendapatan dan efisiensi usaha ternak pedaging dan petelur di Kecamatan Sumpiuh. Metode pengambilan sampel yaitu metode survey dengan metode penetapan sampel kecamatan menggunakan purposive sampling dengan lokasi Kecamatan Sumpiuh ditentukan karena salah satu penghasil itik di Banyumas, sedangkan metode penetapan peternak menggunakan metode stritifed random sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua strata yaitu itik pedaging dan itik petelur masing-masing strata diambil 30% dan minimal 30 responden. Itik pedaging jumlah sampelnya kurang dari 30, maka dibulatkan menjadi 30 responden. Jumlah responden itik pedaging sebesar 30 responden, sedangkan petelur berjumlah 49 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan student t test dan analaisis multiple regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara itik pedaging dan petelur pada variabel pendapatan dengan nilai signifikasi pendapatan sebesar 0,002 dan efisiensi sebesar 0,300. Terdapat perbedaan tersebut dikarenakan variabel pendapatan hasil ujinya kurang dari 0,05. Analisis regresi terhadap pendapatan mendapatkan hasil bahwa f signifikan sebsar 0,000000002 yang berarti bahwa jumlah ternak, pakan ternak, curahan kerja, pendidikan, lama berternak dan variabel dummy pola pemeliharan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan dengan tingkat signifikasi 99% (p<0,01). Analisis regresi terhadap efisiensi mendapatkan hasil bahwa f signifikan sebesar 0,000 yang berarti bahwa jumlah ternak, pakan ternak, curahan kerja, pendidikan, lama berternak dan variabel dummy pola pemeliharan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi

Abstract

Clothing is a manufacturer that manufactures all their products by their label. The rapid growth of the clothing business today makes competition among the clothing business entrepreneurs very competitive. They must be able to produce a product that is easily accepted by consumers, especially young people today. In these circumstances require clothing entrepreneurs to work more professionally to remain competitive and survive. Fabric is an important thing in doing a t-shirt production process in the clothing business. Today there are a lot of t-shirt motifs, from the plain to the lines with a variety of colors. Clothing business entrepreneurs must be able to determine which t-shirts are the best and can be produced to produce a product that is favored by consumers. But in the selection of T-shirt motifs, most clothing entrepreneurs are still guessing without having a benchmark for T-shirt motifs that are needed to be produced. For that we need a system that can help clothing entrepreneurs to be able to determine the criteria for the motif of the t-shirt to be produced and the selection process will be easier and not waste a lot of time. In this case, a decision support system will be made that can facilitate business owners clothing in determining the choice of the best fabric motifs for his business. One method that can be used as a solution is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method because this method is suitable for multi-criteria decision making. In this problem there are several criteria needed, namely type of material, type of yarn, fabric pattern, absorbency quality, grade of fabric and user category. The existence of this research is expected to provide benefits to the clothing business owner, which can facilitate the recommendation of t-shirt motifs for their businesses.

Abstract

Kutasari Farm Group, located in Karangcegak Village, Kutasari District, Purbalingga Regency, primarily engages in sheep farming but has long struggled to provide a continuous supply of forage. This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of the group members in forage crop cultivation. The program targeted 18 sheep farmers and adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach comprising the stages of problem identification, program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The implementation phase involved socialization, group discussions, and hands-on practice in forage planting, while the evaluation phase included pre-tests and post-tests to assess the training’s effectiveness. The results showed that 80% of participants were engaged in sheep farming, 46% had previously planted forage crops, and 66.7% were capable of practicing intercropping cultivation. After the training, farmers’ knowledge in forage cultivation increased to 93.3%, and 88% expressed willingness to continue participating in the program. Agronomic evaluation of the demonstration plots revealed that the plant heights of Gama Umami grass under the intercropping system, Pakchong grass, Red Napier grass, and Elephant grass (the group’s original forage) were 174 cm, 172 cm, 173 cm, and 101 cm, respectively. These findings indicate a substantial improvement in farmers’ knowledge of forage cultivation, with the intercropping system achieving a 72.2% higher plant height compared to the previously cultivated forage. The results of the training also showed an increase in knowledge and group dynamics of Kutasari Farm.

Abstract

This study investigated an intercropping system using two improved Napier grass varieties, consisting of cultivar Pakchong (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Thailand) and cultivar Red Napier (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Red) grown in combination with Gliricidia sepium. The research aimed to determine the effects of grass variety and planting system on leaf quality and chlorophyll content. An experimental design based on a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) factorial was employed, consisting of 2 treatment varieties and 2 treatment planting systems in four replications, for a total of 16 experimental plots, each consisting of 3 m x 3 m and 1.5 m spacing, covering 279 m². The treatments combined two varieties (V1 = Red Napier; V2 = Pakchong) with two planting systems (S1 = monoculture; S2 = intercropping). Variables measured included leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and total chlorophyll content. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that variety had a highly significant effect (p<0.01) on leaf width and a significant effect (p<0.05) on leaf area. Mean comparison indicated that the V2S1 (Pakchong–monoculture) treatment produced the greatest leaf width, 3.07 ± 0.03 cm, and the largest leaf area 2837.82±118 cm², outperforming all other treatments. Chlorophyll content did not significantly change in all treatments. It is concluded that the Pakchong in a monoculture system improves leaf width and leaf area but does not improve leaf chlorophyll content.
