Abstract

Objective: to identify the use of gadget and socialinteraction of preschool age at kindergaten in Yogyakarta.Methods:  The research was conducted at PKK Kindergarten, Maguwoharjo, Sleman Yogyakarta. The research design was Cross Sectional. The study population is the father/mother who has children using gadgets with a sample of 45 respondents using total sampling. Data collection tools are questionnaires. Analysis is done by using Somers'd test.Results:  The most age of respondents was early adulthood, 22 respondents (48.9%). Most of the respondents' education is medium, 27 respondents (60.0%). Most of respondents were housewives, 23 respondents (51.1%). Most the children were 6 years old, 28 children (62.2%). Most of the sexes of children are female, 27 children (60.0%). The use of gadget is medium category, 20 respondents (44.4%). Most of the respondents were good category of social interactions, 32 respondents (71.1%). The results of bivariate analysis between the age of the child, parental education, and parent’s job with the use of gadgets obtained p-value 0.010; 0.024; and 0.003. The results of bivariate analysis between the age of the child, parental education, parent’s job, and the use of gadgets with social interaction obtained p-value 0.028; 0.041; 0.002, and 0.007 Conclusion:  There is a relationship between the age of the child, parental education, and parent’s job with the use of gadgets of preschool children.There is a relationship between the age of the child, parental education, parent’s job, and the use of gadgets with social interaction of preschool children.

Abstract

Kecemasan adalah suatu reaksi emosional pada umumnya dan tampaknya tidak berhubungan dengan keadaan atau stimulus tertentu. Salah satu penyebab kecemasan adalah efek trauma terkait bencana . Salah satu penanganan kecemasan pada anak adalah dengan art therapy. Tujuan: mengurangi tingkat kecemasan anak dengan menggunakan art therapy ( mewarnai dan bernyanyi ) di Wilayah Lombok Utara. Metode : pemberian terapi mewarnai, menggambar dan bernyayi pada anak anak didaerah lombok Utara terutama wilayah Salut. Hasil : Setelah dilakukan Art Therapy pada anak anak korban bencana gempa bumi diLombok Utara banyak anak anak yang merasa senang dan tampak adanya penurunan tingkat kecemasan.Kata Kunci : Kecemasan, Anak, Art Therapy Anxiety is an emotional reaction in general and does not seem to be related to certain circumstances or stimuli. One of the causes of anxiety is the effect of trauma related to disasters. One of the treatments for anxiety in children is art therapy. Objective: to reduce children's anxiety level by using art therapy (coloring and singing) in the Lombok Utara Region. Method: giving coloring, drawing and singing therapy to children in Lombok Utra, especially Salut. Results: After doing Art Therapy for children affected by earthquakes in Lombok Utara, many children feel happy and there is a decrease in anxiety levels.Keywords: Anxiety, Children, Art Therapy

Abstract

The importance of hand cleanliness needs to be paid attention by preschool-aged children in order not to become disease germs? medium of transfer, such as diarrhea. Health education is needed to improve children?s skills in washing their hands. The demonstration method can get students actively involved while paying attention to the lesson being explained, and singing video media can encourage a learning motivation through interesting graphic displays and lyrics about the steps to wash the hands. To determine the difference between health education using demonstration and singing video methods? influence on preschool-aged students? handwashing with soap skills. This is quasi-experiment research which used a pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group. There were 24 samples involved as respondents, divided into two groups which consist of 12 students each. Bivariate tests for both the demonstration and the video methods were conducted using a paired t-test. A difference test between the demonstration and the video methods was conducted using an independent t-test. The average score for the demonstration method before the intervention was 39.5 and after the intervention was 90.2; the average score for the singing video method before the intervention was 47.5 and after the intervention was 89.9. Results of the difference test between pretest and posttest in the demonstration method group showed a p-value = 0.000, and the singing video method showed a p-value = 0.901.There was no score difference for handwashing wiwith soap skills. The use of demonstration and singing video methods were equally effective in improving handwashing with soap skills.

Abstract

The stage of growth and development of school-age children and preschoolers is a golden age stage. This age stage all development systems including the brain work optimally. Children receive sensory and motoric responses well and are interested in new things. But unfortunately there are some exposure that is not good that should not be done at this age, such as gadgets. Access to using a mobile phone that is felt to be increasingly easy to obtain, in fact it will hamper children's development. Children become lazy to move and just like to play mobile. Although on the other hand, not all applications on mobile phones have a bad impact on children, there are also learning applications that can be used by children. Parents need to be wise in dealing with this situation, so that children do not experience addiction to play mobile phones. The impact of gadget addiction on children can vary from unstable emotions or disturbances to social interaction damage. A variety of outdoor and indoor physical activities can be used to divert the attention of children on mobile phones, one of them by doing brain gymnastics or brain gym. Brain gymnastics is a simple exercise that can stimulate brain work activities and is easily done by children. This activity was introduced in the preschool and school age groups by the service team in the community of children who joined the Domus Dei prayer meeting. The children explained that this was their first experience and was an exciting and exciting activity. The children also explained that they would repeat it again at home with both their parents and their caregivers. The purpose of this activity is to increase the interaction of children with the same age as parents and caregivers, and to introduce brain exercise skills to children. The method of activities carried out is counseling and brain exercise training in children. The results of this activity are all children appear active and happy to do brain exercise activities together. Conclusion: Brain gym activity can improve children's interactions with peer groups, and also with parents and caregivers Keywords: Children, Brain Gymnastics
