Abstract

This study investigates the dynamics of planning, implementing, and utilizing affective assessments in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) across divergent institutional contexts, addressing the "utilization blindspot" where affective data is frequently reduced to administrative formalities. Employing a qualitative multiple-case study design, this research was conducted at a public and a private senior high school. Data, gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis involving IRE teachers, were evaluated using the Interactive Analysis Model and cross-case synthesis. Findings reveal that despite structural constraints, teachers' profound epistemological grounding in Tazkiyatun Nafs and Muhasabah preserves assessment authenticity. Furthermore, both institutions successfully transformed affective data into active formative feedback loops (Assessment for Learning) and established targeted tripartite pastoral care systems involving teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents. This study concludes that effective affective assessment transcends bureaucratic compliance, functioning as a transformative catalyst for continuous moral character development. Consequently, it is recommended that educational policymakers formulate adaptive administrative guidelines to structurally support authentic character evaluation.

Abstract

The geographical challenges in Lebak Regency often hinder the supervision process, resulting in suboptimal reporting systems and low work discipline among school supervisors. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Electronic Performance Report Application (E-LAPKIN) implementation on the work discipline and performance effectiveness of school supervisors within the Lebak Regency Education Office. Employing a quantitative approach, this research evaluates the transformation from manual reporting to a digital-based system. Data were collected through surveys and performance records involving school supervisors. The results demonstrate that the implementation of E-LAPKIN has a significant positive impact on work discipline, driven by real-time attendance and geo-tagging features. Furthermore, the application enhances performance effectiveness by streamlining bureaucratic procedures and increasing data accuracy. This study concludes that digital transformation through E-LAPKIN is an effective policy solution to overcome geographical barriers and improve public service accountability in the education sector

Abstract

Aceh was under Dutch rule for decades. During this time, the public couldn’t access education due to restrictions put in place by the Dutch empire. Access to quality schools is limited to children from the upper class, as most children have difficulty getting an education. As a result, many kids struggle to get an education that includes Islamic education— even if they are from the upper class. Understanding Aceh’s only province with Islamic syari’ah is the main goal of this paper. After that, solutions provided by Teungku Chiek Dirundeng for building Islamic education are sought out. Through his efforts, he helped the Aceh community come together and find solutions to their problems. The story of Teungku Chiek Dirundeng is recorded in Aceh’s saga and written directly into Dutch history books. It’s one of the religious leaders in Aceh who contributed to building the civilization of human life by educating people. This research uses qualitative methods to examine the history and strategies of Teungku Chiek Dirundeng to develop an Islamic-based education system in Aceh. Researchers reviewed every public document published between 1960 and the present day for their research. These documents showed that Teungku Chiek Dirundeng believed building Islamic schools was the best way to promote Islamic education. Pesantren, pronounced Dayah in Indonesian, is an educational institution founded by Muslim scholars. It's based in Meukek, Labuhan Haji and Rundeng areas and is known for its ability to mobilize the community to work together. Only a few researchers have studied the history of Islamic leaders. One of these people is Aceh’s Sultan Hamengku Buwono II. He led the community to create dayah, which is the first step in forming an Islamic education system. Before that point, he helped people establish basics like religion and its rituals in Aceh.
