Abstract

The research was aimed to understand the composition and dominancy of aquatic microalgae, and to know the potential toxicity of Cyanobacteria occuring in three lakes of Jakarta-Bogor area. The study was done in 2006. The sampling sites were Lake Sunter 2 (North Jakarta), Lake Babakan (South Jakarta), and Lake Lido (Bogor). The water samples were taken using plankton-net (20 tan mesh) with horizontal tow. The results showed that. the number of microalgal genera in Sunter 2, Babakan, and Lido were different, i.e. 10 genera, 40 genera, and 14 genera, respectively. Cyanobacteria were dominant in Sunter 2 (96%) and Babakan (90.01%). The dominant Cyanobacteria in Sunter 2 was Planktothrix agardhii (53.48%), whereas in Babakan was Chroococcus dispersus (68.52%). The second abundant Cyanobacteria in Sunter 2 was Arthrospira (42.54%). Planktothrix agardhii and Arthrospira are known to produce harmful toxin.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the marketing aspect and the aspect of financial projections in Heritage Isola Resort Hotel as well as to analyze the influence of the dimensions of the product, place, price, and promotion of a business development plan to be undertaken and also evaluates the financial projections are measured using the method of Capital Budgeting with an evaluation tool discounted payback period net present value, internal rate of return, and profitability index in Isola Resort Hotel in Bandung. The method used in this research is survey method with descriptive explanations level by involving 46 respondents. Data collection techniques wing literature study, documentation studies, and field studies wing interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, and descriptive analysis. Qualitative analysis includes scores of respondents, and descriptive analysis. Results of research marketing activities in Isola Resort has generally shown good, with the results of the product dimension by 76.50%, 75.30% price dimension, a dimension of 80.20%, 71.50% of promotional dimension. As for the results of the evaluation based on the financial projections in Isola Resort Hotel is also in good condition. Projections of incomewas evaluated by using the method of capital budgeting by the calculation of the discowited payback period, net present value shows a positive result, the internal rate of return has the result is greater than the cost of interest rate of 12%, and the profitability index has a positive outcome, le more than 1. The findings of the study it can be concluded that the marketing aspect and the aspect of the financial projections is acceptable and to be implemented in Isola Resort business development efforts for the future.

Abstract

Restaurant and cafe industry competition is getting tougher. Implementation of the strategy is not right, causing not guaranteed of loyal consumers. When loyalty is difficult to form, at least marketers should pay attention to post purchase consumer behaviour. Consumers relate to a product, there are important elements involved in this interaction process, namely the consumer experience. Therefore, marketers should be able to pack the elements that can be controlled by the marketer that can create a positive meal experience. The presence of the stimuli provided by the organizer restaurant / cafe to create a memorable meal experience in order to stimulate the post purchase behaviour of consumers, the formulation of the problem and the purpose of this study is: How meal experience gained consumers restaurant / cafe. How consumer behaviour and how the influence of post purchase experience meal consisting of food and drinks, atmosphere, cleanliness, service levels and prices obtained by the consumer in the creation of post purchase consumer behaviour. With 110 respondents, researchers used a non-random sampling technique that is accidental sampling in selecting samples and processed using computer software SPSS 17.00. Based on the results of the correlation matrix between the sub variables meal experience of the post purchase behaviour obtained correlation results sequentially, namely, food and beverages (0.77), atmosphere (0.68), hygiene (0.65), service level (0.72) and the price (0.75). Effect of meal experience of the post purchase behaviour has a very strong relationship, which with a correlation coefficient of 0.764, this shows that the meal experience. is able to make a positive contribution then post-purchase behaviour will tend to be positive anyway.

Abstract

This research's title is "Applications of Capital Budgeting Method in Feasibility Study of Rooms and Ballroom Investment at Hotel Panorama Lembang", the purpose of this research are to know the feasibility of hotel investment based on financial projection aspect which using Capital Budgeting Method at Hotel Panorama Lembang. The feasibility of investment evaluate by the tools of capital budgeting model, which is have aspect of Discounted Payback Period, Net Present Value, Internal Rate Of Return, and Profitability Index in Hotel Panorama Lembang. The results of this research from the financial projection evaluated with the tools of capital budgeting evaluation which have the results can be seen that investment is feasible, as calculated by the method of discounted payback period is 8 years and 2 months based on hotel evaluation and 6 years and 11 months based on writer's evaluation, net present value in positive result (NPV > 0) in the amount of Rp. 1.743.693.325 , Internal Rate of Return is higher than the discounted factor of 12% in the amount of 23.9303%, profitability index is in positive result higher than 1. Based upon this calculation summarised that the feasibilty of investment based on financial projection are accepted. Based on the evaluation from the capital budgeting method, the criteria of investment at Hotel Panorama Lembang are accepted. The management used the methods which doesn't improve a good result in feasibility. Methods that used by the author more improve a good result in investing decisions, because using a selection of forecasting methods for future revenues. The author used a time series forecasting methods to improve more revenues for hotel. This forecasting method can provide the closest forecast result and the highest rate of accuracy. The author recommends to the management of Panorama Hotel Lembang to continue and accepted the investment of new rooms and ballroom. Considering the result of a feasebility study with a capital budgeting methods are accepted. The author also recommends to the management of Panorama Hotel Lembang to use a proper forecasting methods, such as time series methods.
