Abstract

Virtual space is a movement in spatial creation. Digital technology is employed in virtual space to give users the chance to engage in certain activities with the goal of having a unique experience from that of conventional space. In contrast to typical venues, this encounter offers a unique spatial experience. The goal of this research is to develop an alternative to creating virtual environments based on factors that can affect a person's decision to adopt or reject an invention. Aim of the study is to develop an alternative to building virtual environments based on factors that can affect a person's decision to adopt or reject an innovation. This study seeks to (a) determine the features of space user behaviors when participating in audio-visual media based on digital technology ((b) analyze the perceptions created by users of public spaces. According to the study's goals, which center on comprehending the experience of a digital world, it employs qualitative research techniques. The study's findings revealed that (a) audio-visual material based on digital technology effects users' activity patterns, including how often and how long they sit in digital spaces. (b) the interaction between participants and attractiveness in digital media and space users changes their conceptions of the purpose of public space.

Abstract

Desain interior merupakan ilmu yang memiliki pemahaman yang mengarah ke bagaimana sebuah ruang terbentuk melalui perancangan tata letak, perlengkapan ruang dan pemerkaya ruang. Hotel merupakan salah satu fasilitas komersial publik yang menuntut perencanaan, penataan dan perancangan dalam interiornya. Dalam lingkup pendidikan, keilmuan desain interior berkonsekwensi terhadap pentingnya seorang calon desainer untuk mempelajari dan menguasai sejumlah pengetahuan yang berkait dengan aspek kebutuhan manusia di dalam ruang sebagai makluk individual maupun sosial. Kebudayaan adalah salah satu pengetahuan yang pada akhirnya harus diterjemahka nmenjadi unsur visual sebagai output perancangan. Penelitian ini memfokuskan permasalahan pada implementasi wujud dan unsur kebudayaan Jawa (Yogyakarta) ke dalam perancangan hotel di mata kuliah DI V. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (a) mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang kecenderungan implementasi wujud dan unsur kebudayaan Jawa (Yogyakarta) dalam perancangan mata kuliah DI V, (b) menghasilkan panduan upaya modernisasi wujud dan unsur kebudayaan Jawa (Yogyakarta) berdasarkan lima karakteristik desain modern dalam menciptakan persepsi ruang hotel yang tradisional dan modern sekaligus, dalam konteks mata kuliah DI V. Abstract

This study examines the applicability of strategies with educational methods through the use of eco-friendly materials in tie-dye training activities. The training activity served as a way to teach kids and young people from underrepresented groups at the Al-Mumtaza Orphanage in Bandung about the different kinds of eco-friendly materials and their applications. The activity was conducted to develop artistic creativity and knowledge of environmentally safe textile dyes used in ready-to-use interior products that are tie-dyed. With implications for curiosity and a desire to learn about environmental issues, both of which are critical to design, especially interior design, positive responses are expected. The methodology used combines content analysis with a descriptive qualitative approach. The content research approach (content analysis) is one of the ways used in dynamic processes to investigate and disclose the core based on educational strategy and methods. Qualitative research has two primary goals, which are to describe and explore, also to describe and explain. This is appropriate for describing the creation process and responses that take place throughout training sessions. The findings show that hands-on learning activities promote creativity, independence, and participants' motivation to improve. The findings also show that hands-on learning is at the heart of education's social purpose.
