Abstract

This research was conducted to assist the head of the IT Operational & Network Education Division of the XYZ institution to reengineering the internet usage monitoring system. This monitoring system is reengineered so that query performance becomes better and the information presented is easily understood by the user. Reengineering the old system will produce a system model that is more in line with the requirements of the current system. The steps taken in this study, analysis of the monitoring system case domain, data analysis, data visualization reengineering, internet use monitoring system reengineering, software implementation and testing. In addition, testing the performance of the query system and usability testing for users from the new visualization results as the output of this study. Reengineering the internet usage monitoring system is a solution to improve query performance and make it easier for users to understand the information presented

Abstract

Polyethylene (C2H4)n is a crucial industrial material in the plastics industry, produced via ethylene polymerization. The rising demand for Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and advancements in process technology make the establishment of an LLDPE plant in Indonesia feasible. This paper aims to evaluate the feasibility of such a plant using the Sclairtech process. The heat exchanger network is designed using the Temperature Interval and Composite Curve Methods. The economic feasibility analysis, performed using the study estimate method with bare module costs, shows significant utility savings through heat integration, reducing utility costs from USD 3,933 to USD 1,510 per hour. The plant's Payback Period (PBP) is 3.21 years, with a net present value (NPV) of USD 250.48 million, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 16%, and a breakeven point of 31.04%. Sensitivity analysis indicates the plant remains profitable despite a 65.22% increase in raw material costs and a 100% reduction in product prices. Based on the Heat Integration design and economic analysis, the LLDPE plant using the Sclairtech process is deemed economically viable.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an effective interaction design model for educational games tailored for cat enthusiasts (ailurophiles). Cats hold a special place in our hearts, and their well-being, including proper care, health maintenance, and development monitoring, is of utmost importance. However, as revealed by the questionnaire, there is a gap in knowledge among cat lovers regarding essential care techniques. These techniques encompass equipment selection, cat care procedures, and crucial information about our feline companions. To achieve our research objectives, we gathered data through a participatory design approach to conceptualize educational games for cat care. This conceptual framework then served as a reference for prototyping educational games focused on cat care. The efficacy of these prototypes was evaluated through tests conducted with five cat lover participants. The resulting educational game prototype demonstrated an average value that effectively met the test objectives. Therefore, it can be concluded that the participatory design approach has the potential to generate an appropriate interaction design suitable for implementation in educational games designed for cat enthusiasts.

Abstract

Informasi sangat dibutuhkan tidak hanya sebagai hasil rekapitulasi saja akan tetapi suatu informasi dapat digunakan untuk membantu dalam proses pengambilan keputusan bagi pihak manajerial maupun eksekutif. Program Studi Teknik Informatika ketika akan melaksanakan akreditasi menghadapi kesulitan dalam menghimpun informasi dikarena penyajian informasi didapat dari berbagai basis data dan file eksternal. Basis data dan file eksternal yang digunakan belum mempunyai struktur yang sama sehingga diperlukan lagi usaha untuk menyeragamkan data. Data warehouse adalah sebuah koleksi data yang berorientasi subjek, diintegrasikan, time-variant, dan non volatile untuk mendukung proses pembuatan manajemen pengambilan keputusan. Hasil dari data warehouse merupakan informasi hasil intisari dari berbagai macam basis data.Hasil penelitian menghasilkan fakta bahwa atribut data pada diagram relasi OLTP masih belum bisa memenuhi kebutuhan data yang ada pada diagram relasi data warehouse dengan membandingkan antara diagram relasi OLTP dengan diagram relasi data warehouse. Terdapat kekurangan data pada OLTP Program Studi Teknik Informatika UNIKOM yang mengakibatkan data pada data warehouse tidak bisa diisi. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan nantinya akan ada integrasi data pada seluruh basis data yang berhubungan dengan data warehouse agar model data warehouse yang telah dibentuk dapat diimplementasi pada penelitian berikutnya
